People on this thread seem to be trusting this method. Search for more recent opinions / tutorials to make sure.

You'll need to have the Mother on a good and different IP though (and maybe a different device), to make sure Instagram doesn't consider that the Mother & Children accounts are from the same owner.

i would try this but might it be harmful to any extent in any way ?

I don't know which accounts you came across but you probably saw some accounts that are part of a network. Growing a network of accounts and cross-promoting them from the bigger ones is one of the best ways to grow fast. The bigger it gets the faster you can shoot new accounts out of the sandbox. Along with mother/slave, a network is definitely the best strategy for Instagram growth.

Just post good content and follow/unfollow 200 people per hour. If you have a good aged account you can do this
