So starting with WP 5.8, u can just abandon png/jpg etc and just upload WebP.
Do you do that, or do you still use a plugin to create and convert?

Will it also convert images by default to webp? On client site we use imagify
Since I am switching outta liteserver to GCP containers i won't have the luxury of litespeed doing everything for me :weep:
Do you know if Imagify use any credits to just convert to WebP (no need for image optimization)

There’s no credit plan they have mb and gb plan you’ll need. Check latest discounts you can get for up to 50% off

you can use anywebp . com to convert image to webp or webp to image. I have ever used that and everything is working great.

So what happens to the small portion of your users who for some reason uses a browser that does not support webp?

Don't know much about that format and it's not supporting for some reason So, I just convert WebP to Png/jpg and use it on my blogs

i think you can use jpg/png as a fallback with a plugin, forgot which plugin can do that.
