Hei guys, so i started ads for my first ever ecom site 2 weeks ago. After researching quite a lot about facebook ads and all, i decided to give it a try. i offer 2-5 day shipping in the EU since i'm from here and the products are here, its easier to start like this in my opinion.

The thing is i spent a bit over 500€ in ads and I had around 30 ATC, 15 IC and only 1 PUR. The overall CTR is ~2%, CPM ~10€ and CPC ~0.4€

I started testing with 10€/day ABO interest testing, tested around 10 interests. I made a video from fiverr with the products, used the video and 2 thumbnails and also tried image and carousel ads, even dynamic ads, that seem to have the best CTR of all of them. What could be the issue that i'm not converting? Is it maybe that the website is in english only and i target different native language countries? From what feedback i got from people, the website seems decent and no checkout issues appeared in 3 test orders and everyting went smoothly.

Im kinda stuck since i do not know what to do, what im missing really. I dont know where and what to start improving in order to make this website at least breakeven. Im not interested in quick gains, just to have consistent results to consolidate a new business.

Thank you in advance.

Facebook Ads is a nightmare unless your margins are really big or you're selling high ticket items where the profit per sale is high. Some people will disagree with me here, but I sold a lot of stuff using a dropshipping model and got consistent results but I was never able to make enough of a ROI to make it worth the hassle.

I know this isn't what your question was about, but Facebook Ads is very tough. If you can make something work it's easy to make it keep working because of lookalike audiences etc, but making something work at a significant profit is very tough. I've spent over 10K on Facebook Ads and was left with hundreds of orders to fulfill and very little profit.

Lots of people claim to make insane revenues with this model but nobody ever talks about profits. Good luck on your journey.

there is no solution. I have tried with many different target groups but the results are still very low

There are a lot of things to say.
First thing, make sure your product is interesting and unique.

If you aren't getting sales then you might be trying to sell the wrong kind of product. People on Facebook aren't there to shop, they're there to socialize. So you need to sell items that are interesting and/or have a lot of visual appeal to draw people in. You also want to emphasize getting a lot of shares/likes/comments on your ads because the social aspect will sell more items for free and cause a snowball effect.

I will refresh the product description images

I used to play around with FB ads, hit me up if you want an OG's perspective.

I would look at running ads in the local language and also updating the language on the website so that its in the local language. You can hire translators on fiverr.com

What does the product cost? Can you improve the offer?

Improve the offer by removing the risk, speed up the delivery, give bonus etc.

Instead of having to pay upfront, can you let people pay 20% and only pay the remaining 80% after 7 days and if they don't like the product they can return it to you free of charge (include free return packaging with each delivery).

Can you pay for premium over-night delivery ?

Can you setup an online community on discord or something where people that buy the product can join the exclusive club and be able to interact with other people that bought the product (I'm assuming those people would have some things in common and might want to network with each other - I dunno).

Another thing to bare in mind, there are a lot of scammers online, people don't know who to trust, why should they trust you?
Who the heck are you?
Try first giving them something for FREE like a valuable report or tutorial (in the local language) that will help you to build report with the potential customer. Help them by answering all the questions they might have related to that niche or product;

how much does it cost, what does it do, are there other products that solve the same problem, how do those products compare to your product, do the product come with insurance or replacement guarantee, how do you maintain the product so it lasts longer, how do you use the product optimally?

When you've educated them and given them true value and they can see how your product is the right choice for them, then they'll be ready to make the purchase.

This info could be sent to them in piecemeal over 2-4 weeks, that way they'll know you, they'll trust your info and believe you if you tell them that this is the right product for them, BUT you need to be honest, if the product isn't right for a certain group then have the guts to tell them that, recommend the competitor's product instead (see if they have an affiliate program- but even if they don't have an affiliate program, recommend them) - you do this because your goal in business is to HELP PEOPLE, not get a quick buck from them. Treat them the way you'd treat your close family member, guide them, want whats best for them and they'll value you and go to you when they need something in the niche (not just that 1 product).

With all that shit being said, personally I wouldn't even bother with business unless you see a path to becoming a monopoly - you want to be able to trade and not worry about shortcut taking retards coming up behind you and copying everything you've built at taking 50% or 80% of your market and customers.

So HOW can you build a monopoly ?

1) Have a license from an institute that won't let others get the same license. For example, can you get brand licensing from the Rick & Morty and be the only one to theme your product around Rick & Morty?

Or perhaps you can improve the product, get patent for the new and improved product and be the one with exclusive rights to sell the improved product. (better mouse trap).

Or perhaps you can get an endorsement from all the relevant associations and authorities in the niche; Endorsed by the American Association for Widgets & The Widget Association of California ... whatever.

Get the government to give you exclusive rights to sell that product - this is very hard to do. But if you're the only one with the rights to mine for minerals or the only company in your district allowed to sell food to hospital patients or high school students... then you've got a monopoly on the food market.
Not sure how you'd go about getting into bed with the government, but if you can find away (maybe give them 50% ownership in the company).... then you could be the only person allowed to sell the product in your district/country and 50% of the profits would go back to the community and you'd ensure to sell quality shit because the government would be all up in your business.

2) Have a geographical monopoly; for example reach out to all the websites in your target country that your customers would visit right before buying your product (maybe that's review websites, tutorial websites, certain social media channels/accounts) and have them EXCLUSIVELY recommend your product / funnel traffic to your website and give them 50% of the profits.

Or if you were a offline business, you'd work out a deal with a cinema theater and be the only vendor allowed to sell drinks & snacks on the premises - and ban all outside food.

3) Control the distribution & manufacturing value chain. If you manufacture the product, or you're the EXCLUSIVE distributor in your country - and anyone that wants to sell that product in your country has to buy it from you first, then you've got a monopoly.

There are other monopolies and rather complex topic, but you can start by reading what wikipedia has to say on the subject;

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monopoly

But trust me, if you do NOT have a monopoly, its only a matter of time before someone sees you making money and reverse engineers your funnel, ads, buyer journey etc. and kills your profit margins.

Of course if you've got a solid brand, excellent customer service, put the customer first (treat them like you would a loved family member) and have a hidden revenue - then you'll crush 'em. They'll try to compete, but because you've got all those other things + a hidden revenue (i.e you make money from something else and you're able to lose money by giving your product away for free and still stay in business) - then eventually they'll move on and won't be able to compete.

Business is RUTHLESS. I'm telling ya.

Really difficult to answer without seeing your shop or ads. Its a very complex matter.

Did you integrate Google Analytics to check the user behavior, etc.?

Btw. you should make the website in the local language of the people you are targeting. It will increase your conversion rate. If you are from France, why would you want to order from a website which is in English? I mean, we are talking about average people who probably can only speak their own language.

i will install Google Analytics. Seems like it's a big omission

may be you can try retargeting for the 30atc ?
or maybe you can install plugin like hotjar or lucky orange to see how visitor behave on your site.

CTR is too low, try aiming 4+%. It all depends on the location, which country are you targeting? Maybe try different GEOs. The reason you're not converting is bad ad copy or presell.

Did you build your brand before starting the campaign for conversions?

FB is already a though arena, I found that ads will convert better if you previously build your brand (which isn't simply getting followers).

Where in Social Media we are constantly bombarded by ads, having an appealing images and good copy can help with that first click, but then people (most of them, al least) perform their research on the seller (brand visibility, reputation, opinions, etc).

That for me is the key for increase selling. That and, of course, having an attractive product (one or more of the following: attractive price, nice looking object, solve a problem, other customers love it, etc.)

This is a clickbait thread set up by someone who's been banned more times than you can count to three.

He's quite literally just copied/pasted someone else's thread from Reddit:

He's posted it from his new account after his last account of @jony liu was banned. The ironic thing is he's posted from his real account on that Reddit thread in response.

The same Premium Agency guys have been spamming this forum to the nth degree trying to pump their rubbish Facebook agency services - https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/facebook-google-bing-ad-accounts-for-sale-run-high-quality-long-lasting-campaigns.1172270/post-14533072

I didn't care about this. I will be doing some interactive campaigns

Facebook ads are all about testing. Try to test contents and target no just the creative and then see the results
