Quick question. Why are .website domains so cheap?

I was wondering today, why are .website, .live, .club so cheap in comparison with .io or .realestate domains?

It depends on the domain registrar companies. They set prices.

There is no huge demand for such domain name extensions. That is one of the reasons. That extension makes any domain name pretty long. And that is not really good for marketing and promotion.

Look cheap for why it's common and overall not much popularity for them for example you can fairly easy buy a domain like this for around free to a max of like $5 you can even some cases get 2 free of unique or strange domain types for example I got free club or other kinds before for nothing

They are generic names. If the TLD is associated with a targeted group like .io for techies and entrepreneurs, then it'll have huge demand.

You can get them very easy for example name.co.uk do them for free or cheap often like today or Thursday they normally sell domains for like £1.00 or £2.00 per domain.

When new name register you get them for free for example I got ooo one for free which has made me some money so far.

You can join a new hosting company who often give you free domain with it.

Some companies just random give away domains without paying for a year as well.

Nice! But for me the SEO aspect to a domain is completely irrelevant.

I’m looking for cheap domains to create one page property sites for real estate agents.

Something like addressAddressNumber[dot]site for example. Was just wondering if there is something bad about these TDL’s.

Guess it’s just the look of it.

Only thing bad is people may see them as spammy or low quality your possible customers or site visitors but except for that no problems overall.

Its not a familiar or commonly used extension also the price depends company which owns the extension

Not all of them are cheap

Usually you can buy them for 1 CT together with a decent tld... Just remember to be sure it won't renew automatically... Because afterwards the price really goes up to €9,- or much more...
It's also kind of a hosting trap now...
