Many software works only on windows, if you use Mac OS/Linux, you need to install a virtual system with windows. You can't do without it.

Goes both ways. You can't use Final Cut Pro on Windows. Gotta use Premiere.

I use Windows still for a lot my work so I can't bash it but if I'm meeting someone in person, I always bring my Mac. The advantage there is professionalism.

Linux is good for backend, servers, dev, etc. Not for desktop usage.

But that's an outdated debate. People with money are using Mac. Even software devs because it's unix based.
Gamers of course are using windows.
People who want to feel that they're cool and hacky and edgy uses Linux and talk about it all the time.

I agree with you, Linux is time consuming windows is better at this.

I read somewhere a guy who said Linux is a hobby. And it is.

Now, from the perspective of a professional for which time is money, spending the whole afternoon fixing some BS on Linux is not worth it. Unless you enjoy doing it.

An advantage of using Linux all day long is that you can put it on your resume if you're a developer.
But then your employer will expect you to know about actual technical stuff - stuff that you do with the console - so again the "desktop" part of it is irrelevant.

I think windows is easy to use. There's a software for everything you want to do on a PC. Virtually everything possible on computer can be done on a windows machine. I occasionally play games too on my PC.

Almost everything works on Linux between emulation and VM. Emulation has come so far but having to run bloated VM's on certain things that won't run emulated properly really sucks.

Why emulate a software when you could just run it natively?

Emulation and other similar solutions are just unnecessary stress and extra procedures when there's a tested a trusted easy solution. Why fix what is not broken? At least from an individual point of view.

I haven't used linux before so I really can't say much about it. But am very sure Windows is best for gaming on a PC. I'm not sure any game developer makes any games for Linux or even MacOS.

I really have not issues with Windows, I've been using windows since I started using computers and I haven't had to complain. It just solves the problem for which I need it.
