It's funny how people directly go to blame others for their failures before making ANY kind of self criticism. There are various reasons why a campaign can not go well: bad content, bad copywriting, and bad targeting. In this case, I believe at least the two first ones are the case. As for the last one, if the targeting includes a lot of fake accounts/bots, then it's hard to expect conversion from those.
It's interesting (to say the least) that the client claimed to have "a lot of experience with DMs" but he make very first-time questions as if it had been quite the contrary. Like "what does the profile sharing look like". Nothing wrong with that but makes me at least question his "vast experience in mass DMs".
I have provided a screenshot of one of the sends to the client, as well as a list of all the account we impacted. You can go one by one asking them "hey, did you get a message" to confirm the deliveries if you want.
There is one thing the client is right about, however. He ordered 100k, and we did not send 100k. We sent more like 120k, for that matter.
If your instagram insights say your results are bad, it's clearly because 1) your account / shared post adds zero allure to be clicked on, 2) your message is tremendously spammy (which it is) and generates refusal by potential clients and/or 3) your targeting is less than good.
If you feel you wasted 250€ it's not because we undelivered (in fact, we over) but because you failed do put any extra work to make the campaign work. There's many people out there who are putting the work in, what did you expect?
I'm sorry for your bad experience but also I am reluctant to accept a blackmailing situation just so you can get off the hook on my expense. I am not refunding an order "because you had bad results". Work on your content, work on your text, and work on your targeting. You'll see results then.
What can I say. 9/10 clients are recurring ones and the whole key of this business is client recurrence. There may be some people that get their hopes broken when they realize their account/product does not generate all the hype they would've desired, but sometimes it happens. It's not too hard to understand why in this case anyway.
It sucks to overdeliver willingly to a client like in this case and still get bashed on. You've done ZERO self criticism here, none whatsoever. You're the type of person that blames others for your failures (as I'm sure you'd take all the merit for your successes).
As a side note, I had to block this user for using profanity against my person.
