I'm thinking of doing one or the other:
  • Writing "We recommend:" and then add a bunch of big brand logos next to it
  • Writing "Our partners" and adding big brand logos next to it. I'd justify it by saying that I'm an affiliate, so it's some kind of partnership.
The customer's brain would probably be impacted by the logos no matter what's written next to them.

But can I use their logo? what do I risk?

I mean. Boomers need to see those big names before they pull their credit cards.

PS: Since I'm at it, what do I risk if I pick some random Instagram account and pretend that's the girl who wrote the testimonial on my website ?

Really?

OP, depends on what you are trying to link to, because a hotel chain isn't going to be happy to find you linking to some scam site.

Do you live in a 3rd world country ?

No scam involved, just selling my guides. My site is pretty clean.
But I'd be borrowing their authority :)

they would still get to you if you make it big, just so u know

I'd stop those shady tactics long before I make it big.

ofc but it will be hard for op to make like 10-15k per month by selling local guide type of book

Bro If I can make 500 € per month with this site I'll feel like a boss.

Right now I can't even sell a 9 € ebook :)
