that's probably how you got infected, sometimes I use nulled software myself but I put it in a sandbox with no networking, I suggest that you reinstall your operating system and be careful what you install on your computer from now on.

There is no reason to believe that they were probably infected by a super old nulled software install. It could have been a ton of other things they are overlooking or exploits we don't know about.

99.999999% of the times this is the reason. I feel worried for people like @Scorpion Ghost because of this exact reason. Dudes (and girls), do not use these old OSes and nulled softwares for something that is important to you. If IM is making you money, perhaps it is time to give IM back something.. right?

you're right I totally agree with you that it's really hard to know exactly what caused this however 90% of the cases I saw happened because of this.

This is true. Infact, most of the coins can be traced back except for Monero. I heard that even Monero has a vulnerability that will reveal the sender identity.

However, $35? :/ there's the problem.

Really hope BTC does a chainsplit because of this transaction.

Its not new but its been increasing recently with lots of newbies coming into the crypto space. Always double check your address before completing a transaction

I lost only $10 with that. Now, i type in address myself and moreover, anything too good to b true is probably fake, so, i stay away

Best thing to do is reinstall your operating system and now onwards do not download anything from any untrusted source. If some download seems fishy, then always keep a VPS handy in order to download it there and then do not use that VPS for any payments, etc. Stay safe, prevention is better than cure.

Thanks man.. I think it's a browser extension or a website issue.. The changes don't show on my computer. But on the browser it shows sometimes.. I'm uninstalling all browser extensions

I just got scammed via blockchain few hours ago.
I contacted blockchain and from the transaction explore page we were able to trace where the money went to, the address it went to. But we can't do anything further than that.

What happened was that I was sending money from one account to another, I copied the receiving account's wallet address. But according to blockchain customer rep, The account was changed through a copy-paste malware. That means the malware recognizes crypto wallet addresses and changes it to their specified addresses. This is very new to me and a very smart way to steal.
I wasn't happy about the loss, but I'm grateful that it wasn't big like that. It was just $35. The problem now is how did that malware get into my computer and how do I remove it?

For this type of thing, you should conduct these type of transactions through a virtual machine IMO.
