I got two reasons why I'm doing this journey thread one is to keep it as a diary of my journey since I didn't do it when I was making a living off of YT from 2012-18 and I think it can inspire people in the future if I'm successful. I really think YouTube is still one of the best ways to make an income online and it's easier than other ways which require marketing skills, social skills, and a lot of money to get started. I've been inspired by so many journeys on here that I want to finally put my front foot forward this time around.
MY STORY & EXPERIENCE ON YOUTUBE
To explain my history on the platform, I found YT in 2005, and because of my hobby of video editing, I've always used YouTube to put out videos for fun to show off my video editing skills while I was in school during those years. I never wanted to work another regular job again after a pretty bad experience so I got desperate and starting looking for ways to work online. After a few failures and guys always embrace the failures, I finally found some luck with finding out I could actually get paid from uploading videos to YouTube back in 2012. YouTube allowed anybody to make money through AdSense off the platform and I immediately started it up in May 2012 and I made money I never made before. I was able to make plans to move out of my parent's house and I moved out in 2013 and for the next 5 years after that, I made a living off the platform using copyright content. The struggles started in 2015 when my MCNs started dropping channels and it kind of became hard to get into certain MCNs so luckily there were still other networks that paid me for copyright content but it got harder every year.
Then 2017 happened, Google announced that it had raised the requirements to be monetized was raised to 1k subs and 4k watch hour time. They also were not allowing copyright or reuse channels to stay monetized in their AdSense program. In 2018, this devastated me and my money which had reached $25k by mid-2017 my account started to dry up in 2018 and I started struggling to look for other online money-making methods but none of them were as good as YouTube. I did Amazon successfully for a couple of months but my capital wasn't there to keep it afloat. By August of that summer, I had to move out and move back home and for the next 3 years, I've still been struggling ever since as some things have worked some haven't as I've been doing things with Content ID but they don't pay the bills.
I've been dirt poor every since but then I talked to a friend of mines who I literally got into YouTube back in like 2016 and this dude has already surpassed me. The difference between me and him he adapted when the rules changed he was using copyright and reused content just like me but he started to find ways to get original content (OG content) and I didn't that's where I made the mistake in not adapting. Well, he told me like dude you should've never stopped making money off of YouTube it's just meant for you to do YouTube first and he wanted me to continue so I did ever since.
I had been without my PC that I built for half of a year and finally got my motherboard back to working so I could get back to editing videos. This is a powerful machine that can handle high-end rendering on my editing program. The timing was perfect because it started working again the week before the Olympics started and in 2012 we had the London Olympics and I made a boatload of money off those games that's always been the backbone of making money. Sports is so easy to make money off of a 10-year old can do it. The 2018 Winter Olympics was officially the last time I made good money on YT before the lights went out. Now with the Olympics, the last two weeks I got a channel humming getting 2.1 million views and 3k subs in just two weeks and this channel is weirdly monetized but I expect it to be demonetized but I felt like I had nothing to lose as I originally did it to scale up my Content ID revenue from my music distributor. I could end up making possibly $3k or more next month if they don't demonetize me before then so wish me luck.
Anyways, I told that same friend about my success off that channel but since that's a trend channel I live off of it long-term as the revenue will dry up the further we get away from the Olympics. I've been doing research on here and other sites like Reddit and YouTube to see what I could do to make money off of AdSense with original content. One thing I'm getting tired of is looking over my shoulder when it comes to YT because I'm making money off of content that I know I don't own and getting in trouble later for it so my friend told me what I could do to get started in a niche that moves fast and is newbie friendly as long as I have some money to start in the beginning.
THE NICHE
My friend told me one of his better niches because it was so newbie-friendly was the "HOT GIRLS WEARING SEXY CLOTHING" niche also known as SIMP channels because in this niche it's SIMP friendly and it's close to the adult niche but not exactly in the adult niche. These niches always have plenty of natural traffic in them so you don't have to wait long to grow a channel like this because whenever you can get a loyal group of people who just love to SIMP on women you will have a successful channel more times than not as you just gotta be consistently uploading and catering to them as much as possible.
I plan on scaling up making 2-3 channels like this maybe more in the future with this same type of content to multiply the income as the content in these videos will mainly consist of beautiful women in tight sexy clothing walking around in public, shopping, and some videos indoors at the home as well. The main attraction in these videos is the women and the clothes and these videos do some really high numbers so it's definitely a profitable niche.
In the future, I plan on following my friend's path where he found a model to work with locally and design a full channel around her exclusively. I can film her myself and have more control over the way the content is filmed and shown. My friend was also saying that I can have more content on hand to upload daily or every couple of days that way as well so I can continue to feed my subscribers and increase video views faster. These channels are easier to do when it comes to making extra money on the side with them as you can convert those SIMP viewers you have and turn them into customers who will pay for her OnlyFans page or whatever other sites available out there that has access to her private content not made available on YouTube or the public for free. Obviously, you can sell merch as well and sometimes these channels tend to have viewers who want to buy the items that your girls are wearing as well. Also, you can post affiliate links as well as one of the mistakes newbies make they try to use YouTube to promote affiliate links or OnlyFans pages and wonder why they're not successful it's because you don't have a loyal audience yet. Loyal audiences usually buy from you once you're established not when they barely know you as a newbie so wait to use these methods. Another thing that I can do with channels like that is to do livestreams with her and have her interact with the channel's audience so they donate in superchats so as you can see once you get established you can really upsell to your customers.
For now, the focus is mainly on scaling for AdSense revenue before the focus goes to upselling but that's the niche in a nutshell.
THE GOALS
I want to get back to earning a living on YouTube and content that I own will be the safest way to make that happen than what I did before. I'm not sure how much this content will net me in the short term but obviously, I gotta start out small and focus more on profiting off the cost it's going to take to spend on the talent working the videos for me remotely then from there start focusing on making thousands a month. My first ultimate goal will be $10k a month and if I make anything beyond that I'll be truly blessed but just for living $3k or $4k will be great to get to first if possible. That's why I'm gonna scale multiple channels eventually because then I can multiply my income much larger than just using one channel.

THE PLAN
The plan to start off is to grow a newbie channel with Creative Common videos pertaining to this niche before the original videos that I pay for are available. I'm going to upload at least one video a day starting off and then probably every 2-4 days once the original content starts popping up to take over full-time.
Once I get monetized, I will delete those reuse videos and have all my original up so I'd be safe from demonetization. Once I get to a point where the main channel is earning around $2k to $3k a month then I'll get started on the second channel doing the exact same method but brand new original videos just for that channel so there's no reuse connection involved. Then lastly, once I got these channels established then I'll concentrate on hiring a model locally and buying the necessary filming equipment needed to put these videos together professionally.
