first of all, never make the domains you are interested in public on this forum. There's bad people in here who will shamelessly steal those domains if they are good, all-the-while telling you how crappy they are. Luckily, this had not been the case for these domains because they are crappy indeed. But as a general rule, making your domains and keywords public on an SEO forum with millions of members is a bad idea. Besides, there's also google employees monitoring this forum and whenever they see someone like you trying to game their system they'll deindex your sites without hesitation or remorse, so be more cautious about this.
The second thing, you've mentioned something about erection pills in one of your posts.... well, as soon as you see erection / viagra / cialis / porn / drugs / pharma / gambling / casino / weapons / warez / etc for any domain you are interested in AND that domain has never had anything to do with these words before, you simply drop the idea of acquiring that domain. Your research stops right there because if you see any of these words in the content it means that the domain had already been spammed before.
Third thing... the important things to look at when checking expired domains are these things, COMBINED, not taken individually...
- content of the domain (like I said, you don't want to see any of those shady words that I mentioned before, being mentioned anywhere in the content of the domain IF the domain had not been intended for those shady niches from the get-go). And even if it's been intended for one of these niches, these are very tough / shady niches to get into, so why would you want to do it??
- RDs... obviously, the more RDs a website has, the better. But, like I said, RDs alone is not enough because there are expired domains out there that look awesome at a first glance (they have 1000s of RDs) but when you look at those RDs you see that 99% of them are blog comments, profile backlinks, whois / stats types of backlinks and so on. Those domains are usually useless.... again, USUALLY, because they might still be worth something if all other metrics are decent (ie. the backlinking profile is clean). So, you need to research further...
- anchor text.... you will want domain names with as varied of an anchor text as possible... or, if the domain has been branded (Joe's Car Wash, for example, or Boston Patisserie, or whatever) and most anchor texts are branded terms that will be good. But overall, you want as varied of an anchor text as possible. If the anchor text is not varied you might still salvage the domain, but it will require a lot of work to fix those anchors, and most time it might not be worth it;
- d0follow and nofollow links.... while it's true that you will want a good mix of d0follow and n0follow backlinks in your profile (because it's natural for websites to have a mix of both) you will want most backlinks to be d0follow because that's what passes the most link juice (SEO value / authority) to a domain;
There are a few more things that some people might want to look at when researching expired domains, but if you'll stick to these most of the time you should be good.
