I already know about aged domains and site like expireddomains.net but I don't know if I'm looking in the right place and using the right search terms or if I have missed something...

what I'm looking to buy is domains that are already registered and have been for some time and when I buy the domain by either having it transferred to my registrar or other methods I want the domain to keep the old registered date when I look it up on the whois.

So where should I look for and what search terms should I use? thanks

If you buy an expired domain, the registration date will be old. The registration date won't be changed to the day when purchasing. Before buying, you can check the registration date on the who.is website.

I tried, when I make a whois it shows it is few days old, exactly the date when I bought it! :/

Who is give the current records
you have to search for the domain history to know about the domain drops, deleted history

yes I know and my domain has this history but what I'd like to have is a domain that shows the "created" date before the date I actually bought it because now the created date is the same as the day i bought it :/

may be registrar made an error? or did you asked someone to register on behalf?

I don't think it is an error, this domain was registered with a registrar and the domain expired, I bought it from a different registrar

ok it may be timezone difference or its common thing followed by domain registrar since the domain already made a first appearance

timezone difference??? did you ever try to make a whois on a domain? the date "created on" shows when it was registered, if a domain expires and gets re-registered it will show as the "created on" date the day in which it was registered again.....HOW CAN I OBTAIN A DOMAIN THAT SHOWS AN OLD DATE AS THE "CREATED ON" DATE? anybody? thanks!

Where did you buy the domain? If that the case then it's looks like you buy the domain from dropcatch service. Try to buy domain from godaddy auction. It seems the date will not change if you buy expiring domain not deleted domain.

ok expirING is not yet expired that means it gets transferred from the previous owner to me right? where else can I buy apart from godaddy which doesn't seem to accept cryptocurrencies?
