Can we monetized content like this?

i want to start my youtube channel,
I plan to play the game and translate it into my language by adding subtitles (not english ofcourse), without showing my face and voice
can content like that be monetized on youtube?
I will only waste time if it can't enter YPP

You can only use content from others if you make your video transformative. This means you add additional value to it. Just adding subtitles without showing your face or voice isn't really transformative. If I was you I would not waste my time and rather think about how you could bring additional value.

Adding value would be a commentary for example:

You can see that they use tons of clips from different movies. But they add their commentary and analyze those scenes. And this what's considered transformational (adding value).
You transform the original video and create something new and also change the purpose of the old video.

OP its really hard to make money in the gaming niche on YT for new people, you really need to do something different to get the attention of the audience.

Adding on top of this - If one of your videos goes viral for whatever reason and you're not yet in the YPP you won't earn a single cent (before you're monetized, which takes some time if you go legit). This means if you find a way to get monetized as soon as possible you secure your way of earning money right away.

Just because you see ads doesn't mean a channel is monetized. YouTube now has the ability to still show ads and keep the whole revenue.
Also you don't see ads on every video you watch, which means you can never be 100% certain if a channel is monetized or not.
