Not sure about #1, but I believe for #2 the stock answer is to build up your site with more content and get more organic traffic.
Looking to get started on this, just waiting on AdSense approval.
I think the key is to get more organic traffic from google, not sure about the content as we already know it must be original, even with that we still get the ad serving limit problem.
#1 exclude the publishers that send you bot traffic or have the user solve a captcha before they get to the actual page.
I know a lot of people will drop off, but I know of one very large publisher who does this.
I wanted to try the captcha thing, but I'm afraid a lot of visitors will get annoyed and maybe exit the website.
Last 5-6 months am trying this method from different angel but every time i make max to max 5-10% ROI
So, moral of the stories is " This game is for Big B in internet market" If you have budget more than 25k$/ month then go for this otherwise don't try.
Most important as a publisher you have to approved your blog in google ADX partner for getting maximum ROI
I disagree with that, I'm totally a beginner and on my first day I got maybe 300% ROI with Taboola traffic.
I couldn't continue as I got the ad serving limit problem, Taboola sends a lot of bot traffic.
Yeah, but first you need to get into Taboola which is hard af
We want to get traffic from Taboola, so we will register as advertisers. Nothing hard about that.
AdX can’t compete with Adsense, that’s what I see on my sites too. Taboola is hard to work with unless budget on buying traffic is less than $1k, so in this case it is better to rely on cheaper traffic sources or SEO.
What cheap traffic sources to buy you recommend? it must be real traffic, not bots.
Let me tell you for ADX approval you need minimum 1millon quality traffic/month.
If you are interest in media buying then buy traffic from FB & break your post in 3-4 slide. I can bet you are going to earn minimum 50-60% ROI. Buying traffic from FB you don't have to invest much
Facebook has quality traffic, but it's way more expensive than Taboola. It's hard to get any positive ROI with it.
high barrier to entry
first you have to get your site approved for advertising on taboola/mgid/etc -- you need traffic and content and a high quality site for that
then you have to get approved as a publisher on adsense/etc -- again, need traffic and content
then you have to burn money optimizing your campaign -- creatives, landers, site placements
then you burn more money hoping that your traffic converts and advertisers will notice and compete for it
meanwhile there's 100 other people who know the game and are better at it than you, who are buying the ad space you want at prices too high for you to compete with
ad arbitrage, it's a game for people with big budgets only.
It's easy to get approved as an advertiser in Taboola, I have a normal website and not that great content on it(just rewritten), and got approved quickly.
For AdSense, you don't need any traffic to get approved, I was approved with literally 0 traffic. But on the other hand, they really require quality content.
And yeah, it's hard to compete with other advertisers, so the only way to get around this is to work on a micro-niche with low competition.
