Google showing category instead of full slug

Hi, I recently started a blogging site and I'm trying to use the silo structure using categories
Let's say I have a category Archery and a post 10 Best Bows in it.
Once it index on google shows site/archery instead of site/archery/10-best-bows

I have custom permalink structure: /%category%/%postname%/
Also, I'm using yoast seo to edit snippets

Will this badly affect my rankings and does anyone know how to fix it?

so it just means it indexed site/archery and not site/archery/10-best-bows. I assume you use excerpts on the category page.
It takes some time for google to fully crawl and organise your site.

For me, it took over a month for google to re-crawl and re-index my pages after I changed the structure of my site.

I have slight variation of the same issue.

When I check if my url mysite/archery/10-best-bows has been indexed in google this is what it shows by using the steps below this is how it goes.

Go to google.com >> site:mysite/archery/10-best-bows
The visual URL that I see as result in google >> mysite/archery instead of mysite/archery/10-best-bows

but the met description below the url in the result is that of what I wrote for mysite/archery/10-best-bows

I have been following similar structure for other categories and slugs on the same website but they show all good.

Why would you need it to show your post name when your "Title" would be more appropriate?
Taking this as an example

(This is a random site i just googled)

As a vistor, this shows me exactly what I want to see
I know it's a recreation sport, and the sport is archery.
From the title, I know it's types of archery bows
then description gives me a quick summary or snippet.

Having postname shown would just be doubling up with your title most of the time would it not be?

Also, it would not be wise to change your URL structure once you are ranking and all.
It not only has the possibility of taking google awhile to recrawl and fix it, you will end up having 404s (meaning you gotta 301), and potential loss in rankings.

The issue I had was that website had a broader niche and would end up looking like http://www.sportsrec.com/sports

When googling about a specific term for a specific sport it wouldn't appear as good as my competitors did.

It ended up being caused by Yoast breadcrumbs

Yoast is ugh
It's a bloatware as far as i'm concerned.
