Seriously CTR for GMB is killing it right now. Here are the results of one client in less than a month for a very competitive key term.

As you will see ranking was achieved in approx. 3 weeks

This is all from CTR manipulation. Here are the methods I used which are no longer working. So I'm currently looking for a way to get geo targeted traffic and also share some insight with the community.

For all of my methods you use the URL string to the GMB with a keyword embedded in the URL. So basically the URL would look like:

Code:
https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=plumber%20in%20san%20francisco&tbs=lf:1,lf_ui:14&tbm=lcl&rflfq=1&num=10&rldimm=11067648353653767862&lqi=ChhwbHVtYmVyIGluIHNhbiBmcmFuY2lzY29IzOWpiPeqgIAIWigQABgAGAIYAyIYcGx1bWJlciBpbiBzYW4gZnJhbmNpc2NvKgQIAxAAeg1TYW4gRnJhbmNpc2NvkgEHcGx1bWJlcqoBDxABKgsiB3BsdW1iZXIoAA&ved=2ahUKEwjqx9fC-93xAhV6EVkFHdwcDmMQvS4wAHoECBAQMQ&rlst=f#rlfi=hd:;si:11067648353653767862,l,ChhwbHVtYmVyIGluIHNhbiBmcmFuY2lzY29IzOWpiPeqgIAIWigQABgAGAIYAyIYcGx1bWJlciBpbiBzYW4gZnJhbmNpc2NvKgQIAxAAeg1TYW4gRnJhbmNpc2NvkgEHcGx1bWJlcqoBDxABKgsiB3BsdW1iZXIoAA;mv:[[37.7870748,-122.37368989999999],[37.6899663,-122.486489]];tbs:lrf:!1m4!1u3!2m2!3m1!1e1!1m4!1u2!2m2!2m1!1e1!2m1!1e2!2m1!1e3!3sIAE,lf:1,lf_ui:14

Can you find the keywords? ;)

1. Facebook ads. Was running Facebook ads and the destination URL was the gmb profile with a keyword embedded in the URL string. This was working and you could really get refined with radius and zip code targeting, ultimately increasing your CTR for locations quickly and easily. However, now FB keeps banning my accounts. Fuck the Zuck.

2. Was using crowdsearch[dot]me. Worked for a little while, now it just doesn't work at all and their support staff or whoever is answering tickets is a gigantic bag of dicks. Would not recommend.

3. Bought CTR Booster a few weeks ago. The Geolocation feature thats supposed to be in the tool isn't there for me. I've tried contacting support and haven't got any response.

4. Here's what is working. Creating blogs on wp sites and setting up a script to pull in content and spin it, then publish on the blog. Local keywords like "plumber in san francisco" rank easily when you spam the search engines. It drives tons of traffic. Basically you cloak the entire site with a 307. The 307 allows google to crawl and index the results, but any traffic will be redirected to the GMB with the keyword in the URL string. Currently this is all I can get to work for CTR manipulation.

Let's talk. What ideas do you have to drive traffic from a local area? As you can see the traffic doesn't need to be very targeted. The keyword in the URL string handles that. But location does need to be targeted.

I'm working on using YouTube as a way of driving geotargeted traffic. So far I've gotten the ad approved but isn't getting any impressions.

Interesting Read!

I tried "CTR manipulation" tools too. It never worked, even after several months of use...
Purely scam...

YT/FB/Job Boards.

CTR Booster, Serpclix, etc fucks you over. Even the above methods probably will.

Done tons of experiments. Once the CTR is turned off none of my sites/gmbs ever saw the light of day again. I'm talking like -50 spot demotions
Were you running them directly at websites? I'm not using them for actual websites. Just GMBs, web 2's with long tails, and etc. However I have used Serpclix on actual websites.

Also my take on rank drops after discontinuing use.

I always scale it back as organic traffic picks up. Say my target keyword has 5k monthly searches. And Im in position 5-6. I'm going to send about 10% of the monthlies to click my result. So 500 through Serpclix. As my position gets closer to 3-4 Ill ramp up serp clix. Once I hit position 1-3 I start dialing SerpClix back to compensate for the organic traffic boost.

I do this because I assume if you experience a large drop off in clicks, which is what will happen if you dont dial it back as your picking up in organic traffic, this raises a flag.

Was doing it for both, money sites + GMBs.

You're probably right about the large drop off in clicks. However I'm wary of using this because it feels like something Google will figure out eventually, and then everyone using these methods gets a 5 page drop.

This works really well for churn and burn I guess, though.

Using job boards/craigslist is probably the safest way to go about it, but also hard, if not impossible, to scale

Was there a reason the FB accounts were banned?

They stopped approving the ads where the destination URL was the GMB. So I was getting the ads approved with a shortened URL and changing the destination of the shortened link after ads were approved, and then they caught on. I forget what the exact violation is. Something to do with changing the link.

I can help you :) pm me your skype and ill tell you how you get what you need

Could this work with a CTR bot on a local 4g proxy? I know it's not as ideal as having actual local users but it might be enough.

Yeah exactly, I know many that are using CTR booster + Packetstream, CTR booster is supposed to have geolocation options, however I'm not seeing it in the tool. So finding a 4g proxy for a zipcode is gonna be pretty expensive. Vs the tool changing the geolocation of the search for you. So if the CTR bot is used it just needs to change the geolocation by zip code, and then the proxy doesn't matter.

I'm finding that review answers with targeted keywords in the response are working very well.
Especially if you have a GMB with reviews coming in daily.

I have also tried the mobile proxy CTR method in my home town with rotating proxies with mixed results.

I had a super setup.

One sim loaded on to Raspberry PI, it was awesome and worked flawlessly.

Really like the GMB stuff especially with the introduction of ai tools for content creation.

Were you just using CTR Booster?

Ctr dropped me from 40th in the world to 80th when I stopped and that was for my main KW not the long tail I boosted

@coolsheet One interesting method I thought of for ecommerce CTR is using an email campaign as a sort of "easter egg hunt". You tell people in the emails to follow the directions and at the end if they paste a certain discount code they get 20% off.

The kicker would be the directions include them #1) going on google and #2) Finding your site and clicking it on the SERP.
