[Journey] Ranking A Site That Uses AI Generated Content

It's way better at writing informational articles than review articles.

I find you need to take notes of the product's features and then use the other specific templates to generate some content.

Then you can use the content from the templates and paste it into the long-form editor. This will help the AI write what you want it to for the review articles. (It helps with the flow of the article this way)

There are just more hoops to jump through for using it for review articles than there is using it for informational articles.
How can you monetize informational articles with Conversation.AI then? ads?

Yeah. With ads. You can also add affiliate links in info content. I don’t like to target review articles. They’re too competitive. Easy info keywords don’t need any links to rank.

Everything I've read has always been the other way around, for example with buying keywords like, "coca-cola review". Most affiliate marketing blogs that I've read say informational keywords don't convert well.

If you don't mind, can you share the keyword structure that you're targeting that converts well for informational articles?

Yeah affiliate probably won’t convert as well in info articles. But the ads make up for it. Especially if you’re using crappy low paying affiliate programs like Amazon.

I hardly have affiliate links in my content. I mostly use ads. I answer questions that people ask based on the income school method.

Questions like :

what is xyz
Is XYZ good?
Can I xyz?
Why is xyz?

So using your example, instead of Coca Cola review, I would answer questions like is Coca Cola healthy, can you tenderize steak with coca-cola? Etc. These are just examples of course. I only target low competition keywords and I wouldn’t write about health related stuff.

I might just want to ask, how soon do the new articles index? Do you use a private indexer to index them?

They index pretty soon. I don’t use an indexer for the site or force it in any way.

I am on a similar journey as you. After the June update, 95% of the articles are not getting indexed. They are spun using conversion.ai API. It is an auto blog

I have a similar problem on a couple of other sites with handwritten content. I guess we just need to wait for a while for google to start indexing again. So far this site hasn’t had any indexing issues. It should be at 5000 pageviews in a couple of days.

If you're not running affiliate products now or you don't plan to run them at all, are running ads alone profitable?
What's your goal on how much you want to be making from this site?

Yes ads alone are profitable. Most of my sites are monetised only with ads.

I’ve spent almost nothing on this site. Just the domain plus the AI subscription which I use for multiple sites.

I don’t have a goal in mind for this site. I’ll probably sell the site when it makes 2-300 bucks a month. So that’s around 20-25,000 pageviews a month.

But I haven’t decided yet.

Can you answer which ad network are you using?
I wish you all the happiness in further work.

Yeah. I use Ezoic and Newor Media.

I know a lot of people complain about Ezoic but if you set up the ads correctly, Ezoic is very good.

You can expect a minimum of 10-12 bucks per 1000 visits for US traffic. One of my sites is getting 60 bucks per 1000 visits just from Ezoic.

I am interested in AI-generated content. Conversion ai is paid. Is there any free solution? Or maybe any trial version?

Conversion.ai has a trial version where you can try out 10K words. There's also a lifetime deal for Rytr on AppSumo where you can get 50,000 characters a month. I haven't used Rytr so I don't know how good it is but they have a money back guarantee.

Any update?
I'll have an update soon. Should be reaching 5,000 pageviews in 30 days shortly.

Thats nice. I will try them out. Thanks for the info.

Can you tell us what theme your using on your site and any plugins of interest? i.e Yoast etc

Yup. Conversion.ai is the guilty party here. I have autoblogs getting thousands of pages indexed weekly

I use GeneratePress. I don’t use any SEO plugins. No other plugins of interest really.

I don‘t spend more than a couple of minutes on stuff like the logo, themes, plug-ins etc. These aren’t the things that are going to help you generate traffic.

Unless you use a super slow and bloated theme, it doesn’t really matter what theme you use.
