This Is My Idea and Plan, Will It Work?

Everything here are just examples, but the idea is real.

So let's say I'm in the niche of dog training.

I create 2 products(1 front-end and 1 back-end): Book A and Product B.

I'll sell Book A at a cheap price, and then offer Product B as OTO. Book A is just a normal one-time purchase, but Product B is different.

You have 2 choices:
(a) Pay a one-time fee of $97 and get Product B fully.

(b) Pay $27/month for 3 months($81 total) to get Product B in smaller chunks, which will be sent weekly(promotes taking action).

Product B is a screenshot-intensive, step-by-step program that helps you do something. Default mode of delivery is by sending assignments weekly to promote taking action, but you can choose to instead download Product B(complete) instantly by paying a premium($16).

Would this idea succeed?
Would YOU pay for something like this in an area you are interested in?

you are onto the right mindset, but you need to expand it!

before I go over what I mean? let me address the $$ issue. you should not charge less for
the 3 month delivery, but more! see, you are not only charging less, but are forgetting that
there will be a fee (PayPal, 2CO, etc) for each charge. charging a one-time upfront for less
creates an incentive to go for the 'all-in' from day one.

my suggestion (continuing the dog training idea):

1) base product, one sample 'training session'- free, squeeze to list or not, up to you. but if
no squeeze to list? make sure that you have a product that clearly offers the 'full' course.

2) full course $
2a) full course with videos! $$$

3) UpSell or OTO. again up to you, though sometimes you can do both. I prefer UpSelling myself,
usually as somewhat of a OTO (add the extra graphics pack right now for only $9 instead of $27)
(keep in mind that you will need a system that will do this! - if you use expiring download pages?
OTO are VERY easy to do! just have the offer on the DL page. this also allows the OTO to last a
bit longer than "right now"

4) backend - this is so easy to implement to NOT do it! if you are using a script/system? just have
a "discount/bonus" page, and offer: free info, discount/deal on other products, or best? offer step
1 from above on another product, and restart the whole chain!

if you are offering only DLoad links, just have a text file inside with a link to a resource/help/videos
page...and have your offers listed there.

5) even more...I have a HotConference room, and for a few products I offered to have 1-2 groups of
5-8 people pay a price to get in on a group training 1-2 times a week for like an hour (usually goes
closer to 1.5) related to product. be very sure that you are VERY good at whatever the topic is though!
people that pay for this sort of thing can ask some tough questions! this can make/break you.

*(I have done this 3 times now, and the average has been about 7 people, charge $77 for 4 sessions,
though it ended up being 5-6. figure $500 extra those months...for maybe 8-9 hours. not crazy money,
but not bad either...the big plus is that the questions helped direct me to what problems these people
needed solved...as in new product ideas!)

so...yes! this can make you some income, but a success? with any kind of video/camtasia screenshot
sort of training? being skilled in the subject is not enough, you really have to work on being sure that
you are explaining 'things' in a way that people can understand. also be aware of how you speak. I just
listened to something over the weekend, and the 'presenter' must have said "um" and "uh" well over
100 times in about on 15-20 minutes! it really was distracting.

^ Yes, charge MORE for the 3 month payment.

Their benefit for paying all at once is a cheaper price. Your benefit is you get the money sooner to start earning interest on it sooner.

Their penalty for not paying all at once is having to pay more total. Your benefit for allowing them to do so is making more money total.

It's like how some stores give you a discount if you pay all at once. People put things on credit and end up paying more over time if they can't pay their bill off all at once.

So instead of the current pricing model, how much do you think is the "right" price to charge for not paying full upfront? Based on the example in the original post, would $47/month for 3 months too expensive?

Actually, I'm going to use a script to do all these. It's called "7 Dollar Secrets" script. I think it's cool that it automates the sales process AND sends commissions directly to affiliates' PayPal accounts.

Here's the best current sales process that a prospect can go through, which means buying both the front-end and OTO.

Front-end Offer($7) > PayPal > Squeeze Page > OTO > PayPal > Download Page for Both Products

If the prospect decides not to get the OTO, the process would be:

Front-end Offer($7) > PayPal > Squeeze Page > OTO > Download Page for Front-end Offer only

Also, your idea for videos is great, I never thought of that! I got Camtasia and I got a mic.

Anyway, I can't do UpSells based on the current process. I want the prospect to buy the product first, then only offer it. The OTO will be a product that completely uses everything in the Front-End, but expands it thoroughly to make full use of it so I guess it would be a great OTO.

I haven't think of any back-end, maybe I'll JV with somebody that will send targeted buyers to my offer, and I'll put up his/her offer on the download page. That's all I can think about of JV-ing for the little guy lol.

About the conference room, I'll save it for my next project. I just want to get a bit of money from this, then start outsourcing.

And yes, I'm confident that this product will be good, and will be put to full use. Until now I've just created the first draft for the front-end. Needs some editing, graphics, etc. I also haven't started on the OTO. Just an idea still.

Well if your going to do that might aswell put it in clickbank that way affilates can market it also. I would personally make it 46.95 or 46.99, people tend to buy things more when they are cents.

Finally, a feedback!

Anyway, I was thinking about not listing it at ClickBank. Here's why:

1. About $50 listing fee.
2. Nobody wants to promote a $7 dollar product through ClickBank and get like $3.50 per sale(excluding upsell).

Oh yeah, how do I get affiliates to promote my product?

I've decided to release the front-end at $27, upsell them with a complete blueprint for a total of $97, and a total of $127 if they want the videos for the blueprint.

I can pay for the listing in Clickbank actually, I just don't think it'd be useful since nobody will ever see my listing and go on to promote it.
