There is a feature that some of you guys generally miss.
Always keep the important tabs on the left. Then you could right click on a tab and click "Close tabs to the right". It kills all of the tabs to the right of that tab in one click.

What is your pc config ?

It's not the PC config which helps. Its the use of correct addons. Lookup for AutoTabDiscard and be amazed.
