How to get links from authority sites?

What do I do to get at least a reply back from these giants?

I found some in Marketplace too but they are not exactly in my niche.

I'm more interested in a way to reach these sites rather than buying links from a seller that has access to them.

The thing is I saw some small sites that have links from really big authority sites and I have no idea what they did to get them. I really don't think they've paid for them as usually authority sites don't sell sponsored posts.

Maybe they've created free accounts on those websites and added their links in the profile?? If they're contextual links, however... then I don't know.

Or maybe they've found broken links on those websites and have purchased that domain. This could work, too, because there are tools (ahrefs or semrush can do this, I don't remember which one) that can check big, authority sites for broken links and when they find them the guy purchases that domain that is broken (most likely because it's expired), puts website on it and in many cases google re-indexes the domain and gives the link juice (authority) to the new owner. Something like this, most likely

I know the broken link method but that's rarely the case here.. at least from what I saw.
These small sites have big informative articles that authority sites link to.. I've tried to reproduce what they did (same type of article) but no one replies back.
I've tried with HARO but almost all the time authority sites are looking for experts in the niche and not random blogs.

The best way is to contact them and ask. But before such a huge investment - think twice and understand if that worth at all.
Perhaps for better results it worth to spread such budget within other activities.

If you can network with a writer from these sites, and offer a news article that is worth a news topic, you may get those links.

But if you have a bare niche with nothing outstanding, just for the sake of interlinking, unless you pay, you won't be able to get there.

This is why, sometimes, niche edits work (basically because you cover the same topic as a 404, for example in certain site, that they could be replacing with your site easily, and successfuly, although you are risking a lot of time for a content that will never be linked)

Not a ton. Just about 10 of them.

Literally, topping SERPs, #1, for high demand news.

Most don't have the budget or balls to get these links done, sometimes neither of the 2.

And to be frank ....
People want things done 'their way' but these companies give 0 fucks about a 1-time guy who spends $3000 , as they have Fortune 500 companies spending $30k with one call, that will get priority every time. Then secondary, they have budgets from smaller companies from across the world, who get their balls together and make the purchase without thinking they need to control our/my business.

I prefer not to waste my time talking to people who ask 100 questions and to see sites, etc b/c most are just 'data mining/reverse engineering' instead of focusing on their own business. People aren't legit looking for a solution to their needs, they're jut trying to wear another hat.

People rather feel 'in control' than understanding the rules of the Richest Man of Babylon.

From what I've seen, many on BHW to think they know something about Gold from their 1/10th of time dedicated to the study, rather than trust a man who spent the last 20 years of his living living on gold rich land, mining & researching it. Make sense? Hopefully that doesn't go over the heads of readers.

Those people will spend $500 hoping to get a good deal from a guy who's not exhibiting professional tendencies, than spend $2k with someone who's being professional/direct. And will crash and burn, over and over, until they find a deal , before just dealing with reality.

People feel more comfortable with a spreadsheet with farmed/mined/reverse engineered site links from a person in a foreign country, than a professional in the country/city where the company is based.

BHW's a trip in that way.

Second, get on their radar by interacting with them on social media.

Your goal should be to get links from sites that your competitors cannot get links from.

That is what's going to put you ahead; that will enable your rankings to rise above your competitors.

Unfortunately, all of this will require effort and time on your part.

This is not a quick and easy solution.

You have to hire a virtual assistant to come up with a list, and then you have to filter out those websites in terms of whether they sell links, and then just work on getting on their radar and earning their trust, so you can talk about a guest post or some sort of collaboration.
