young person? The risk of a newly developed vaccine probably outweighs the reward.

This world is not always white and black like the media plays it out to be so they can get views and ratings

Do you have any older relatives? If you get Covid, have no symptoms, give it to an older relative and they die, how would you feel?

They have been studying how to make a coronavirus vaccine since the 2002–2004 SARS outbreak (that virus is now called SARS-CoV-1 and Covid-19 is SARS-CoV-2). That was almost twenty years ago. mRNA tech was first tried out on mice in 1990. Does that sound "newly developed?"

If not enough people get vaccinated, this will go on forever.

You have two choices:

1/ Get a man-made virus.

or

2/ Get a man-made vaccine.

Scientists tried to give Covid-19 to bats, but they couldn't get it and they haven't found one wild animal that has Covid-19.

At the beginning of this, experts assumed Covid-19 was natural - ie. slow to mutate, and when it did it would be a weaker version.

That is not happening. It can mutate in six months and it gets stonger.

If this continues, by the fall there could be an even worse strain.

It's not your place to spread any conspiracy theories, or give false hope in something you completely don't understand, don't know what's in the vaccines? OF COURSE you don't. The scientists do. I had a buddy tell me "You don't know what they are injecting you with" of course we don't know, do you know the exact "ingredient" in any vaccine from the past? Like c'mon. It's not a fucking cup of tea guys.

It will always mutate. There will always be a new strain, that happens with every other virus like the flu. Getting vaccinated doesn’t prevent you catching it, it’s supposed to prepare your antibodies to effectively fight it off just like the first time you catch it. I think it could be great for older people because the exposure can prepare antibodies while ideally having lesser symptoms. The argument for younger people is that they can handle those symptoms better while building the antibodies, and a 10-15% decrease in the degree of symptoms may not be worth taking that risk.

Of course I care about other people. I watched most of my relatives die right in front of me slowly due to cancer and it’s horrible, I would never wish that on anyone.

The point is to allow people to live their lives freely without persecution for their thoughts and life choices. To not force a way of thinking upon another individual.

The only concern I am having is that we are getting fooled. I mean, lets break down what happened: They told us we are going "back to normal" after the majority of the people is vaccinated, but what happens now is they come up with one variant after another and force new restrictions based on them.

At this point I am way more scared of governments/restrictions than of the virus itself. I am afraid this will be a never-ending story. I mean, what life is this? Where you can't move freely, can't travel freely, where you have to suspect every human around you to be a potential threat, to wear masks, etc.

They talk about protecting the lives of the people, but they don't consider the life quality. You want to live until you are 100 years old, locked up in your house, not being able to travel, being confronted with fearmongering for the rest of your life? What is this?

As my knowledge goes, countries like Israel are almost fully open

Country that I am currently in Eastern Europe - clubs are open all night, restaurants are full, people are gradually getting vaccine, etc.

And of course I agree that for me personally effect of the pandemics lays in the restrictions, not the virus itself, so Im happy to be in this place right now
