[JOURNEY] Starting a new Amazon project

Hello,

I have around 12 year experience in web development and used to work in IT-related job but quit not long time ago. I also run a dropshipping business which is generating around $25.000 per year.

So what is this new project? Every day I am scrapping Amazon with around 300 rotating proxies. I am simply building a price comparison between Amazon and Ebay. The sites are growing by 25000 new products every day.

As of today I have made 1 sale and started the site less than 1 month ago.



What I am going to expect..

The sites will grow to around 4.5 million products within 6 months. I also expect that Google will maybe eliminate 80% of the traffic within 1 year like I experience a couple of times before with some other price comparison sites I run. I have built a script that gather every day keywords the sites are ranking from Google Webmaster which I will use to place text ads on Microsoft Ads and Google Ads. The text ads will basically say 'Best price {keyword}' and eliminate ads that are not performing well. As of today I have around 5.000 ads on Microsoft and a script that auto-create and disable ads that are not performing well for some other sites so this method have been a gold mine for me.

This is how the script look for some of our other sites. It auto generate ads and disable if spending become too high and no convo.



So I am thinking I will use the same script to promote the Amazon price comparison site as well since I had good success in the past.

Running cost is around 39 EUR per month for a dedicated server, $25 per month for 3TB proxy bandwith and $25 per month for 5 TB storage box which is used mostly for hosting pictures from Ebay and Amazon.

As of now the script is processing 27 new products on the Italian site. And the Global and French site is just started to get indexed by Google with around 100.000 products each.

If everything goes to drain and I get kick out from Amazon, I will lose maybe 50-100 hours of my life so it's not the end of the world.

Making money on Amazon isn't easy these days if you have a wrong niche, but it's quite possible with the right niche and even without building backlinks to your site.
I know a friend of mine who managed to bring more than 50 written articles to the top of Google in a year and now gets about 55K+ traffic every month, and his earnings are also at a high level.

This is not based by articles. It's a price comparison site, which currently have around 200.000 products.

As of today 3714 indexed pages.



The whole idea is to collect keywords from Google (which people search for and Google think it's relevant to a page we have) and then place ads on these keywords once Google penalize the site for thin content. Which I estimate will happen within 6-12 months from today.

We do not really do SEO or articles.

Oh yes! It indeed is.

We also run the same concept on Ebay Marketplace where we basically scrape every listning of Ebay and put a link with the auction on our website. Some listnings are big price items like appartments, tractors and cars which are around 10.000 EUR to 100.000 EUR. If someone buy one of these items trough our links it's very possible we earn 100 EUR to 1000 EUR for the sale of item.

But it's a new project also so we have no track record yet.

Some updates.. Google indexing going fairly slow but we are up to 11k index pages. 1 new sale. And around 1000 new keywords. We now monitor all keywords that come to our site. Also setting up a blog to make content less thin.

I am not exactly sure what this dashboard mean ( I do not speak French)
But it seems like I made 7 sales already..

I always say web dev is the way to go. Wild things can be produced.
Now we can expect 100s of people going for web development instead of crypto haha.
Working in CPA marketing I saw the only successful people were those engineering and working their own solutions.
12 years is a hell lot of experience. Within that timeframe some attain the power of internet god. Hahaha.
