Is this how to edit correctly (wordpress) site title size?

I changed the highlighted text to 4.8 to make the site title bigger when it's in the header. This is in the "styles" part of the theme - is this the correct way to edit the size of the site title, or will doing it this way mess me up down the line?

I'm new to WP (DreamPress host) and this is scary honestly.

if you've gotten the desired result (ie. the titles have become bigger) then it's OK. If not, you need to change a different line of code, but I can't say which one because I'm not good at CSS and because I don't have access to your site's coding anyway. Also, don't share the coding with anyone, just to be safe

You should use the theme options that are built-in (or a plugin if it doesn't change what you want), next time you update your theme all your changes will get nuked.

How can I change the font size/family/etc in the customization menu? I can't find anything for it, and have checked the plugins store for the "Headers and Footers" plugin, tried the customizations menu, my existing plugins and settings, everything I could find.

I don't know any plugins off-hand for it. Just about every theme should have a custom css section. You can change your css in there (by doing the same thing your doing now) but by calling it there instead to overwrite the theme file. It won't get overwritten there during an update.

Some themes make this much easier by just giving you the options in the menu, some don't sadly.

It looks like this (might change a bit from theme to theme). Basically just copy the changes you already made and add them here, Or hit up google and try to find a plugin that makes it easier.

it's not necessarily wrong, but there are safer ways to do it (the theme customizer for example, if your theme has the option to change the title's size, there are also plugins, or the theme's CSS adjustment section). I actually recommend using the CSS section built into your WP theme (most themes come with such a section for free) because it's safer and easier than having to manually check the coding of your website for the right CSS rule

I'll use the CSS editor to change the header/footer of my site. Hopefully it's not too hard to do a simple thing, and the other things like "minify css" had to be looked into anyways. My theme is "Twenty-Twenty" BTW.

Minify shouldn't affect it. Check out google for a quick guide on how to use it. It just looks scary, but it's super easy.
