Bangalore. Most of my traffic was from Hyd, so it's the closest location and speed was good.

Digital Ocean doesn't offer regular hosting. Their VPS is called droplet. I don't know if their terms allow black hat tools. I've used their VPS to host my WordPress sites.

AWS / AZURE / Oracle Cloud should be your first choice. Basic instances are quite okay.
Give them a shot - the SLA would be nice.

No. Neither VULTR, AWS, nor DO provide "Indian" VPS. Instead, they are all US IPs that have been broadcasted to some of the other regions in the world. That said, although it still claims that it is an Indian VPS, it just couldn't make it 100% what a real Indian VPS does.

do not go for digitalocean. lots of bug on there os. everyday u will get hacked from database exploit.
i tried centos and ubuntu and get same database bug.
after i move my site on ovh.

Vultr has got Pune location in India

I don't find Pune on their website. Pune would be great for Mumbai And Maharashtra customers instead of Banglore which DO offers right now.
