Grammarly alternatives that work offline.

I am looking for suggestions on Grammarly-like software alternatives that do not require internet connection to fully work. I do not feel comfortable with Grammarly sending everything I write back to their servers for analysis, upon which they reply back with suggestions. To clarify, I am looking for advanced features to improve copyrighting, not just spellchecking – I can use browser built-in spellchecker for that. Installed software does not have to be privacy-friendly out of the box, I’ll take care of that with proper sandboxing. Thanks.

Office 365 has some powerful tools as for me in this direction. As an option you can keep them in mind, however I assume that might not be enough.

I am interested in help with text rephrasing to improve readability and style. So the tool has to be able to give me recommendations on what to change in my sentences, not just if they are grammatically OK. I am currently testing a desktop version of gingersoftware but I haven’t compared it yet to grammarly. Huh, turns out there is a desktop grammarly as well!

Well, crap. Both desktop variants still require internet connection to do even the basic stuff, which means that they literally send to the server EVERYTHING. On to the next one…

Sadly, I still wasn’t able to find it, I would love to update this with better news but it seems that everyone is worried about their backend being deployed in a client app so they hide it on server behind an API and do everything they can to push the "software as a service" down our throats.

Plenty of spell checkers work offline, most *good* grammar checkers use AI, I don't think very many exist offline. Sounds like a good opportunity if anyone is paying attention.
