Hello all,

I have a new website that I have slowly started doing linkbuilding for. I have been getting excellent backlinks from 1-3k RD sites with excellent metrics and over 1k traffic, but I feel like the number of linked domains from these sites is too high (when I say linked domains, I mean the number of domains that the site providing me with a backlink is linking to).

For example, I got a backlink from a site with 2800 RD, but with 10k Linked Domains. Or another with 3k RD but 7k Linked Domains.

Is there a maximum you don't try to exceed, or some kind of ratio? Does it really diminish the value of these links?

Thanks for your answers!

those are called outbound links and it's generally a good idea to have as few of them as possible because they leak the SEO value out of your website

Not sure if there's a min / max of OBLs that one should aim for, but.... if your website ranks with those backlinks that's all you care about

Thank you! So you think that sites with more than 7k OBLs can still provide value in terms of Link Juice?

if it has high authority (80+), sure! Think of all those web 2.0 sites with DA of 90+. They probably have 1000s of OBLs and yet, people still get backlinks from them because their high authority getting passed through to their websites
