You should regularly be leaving value-adding, long-form comments on regular blogs in your niche to help with your link building & wider digital marketing strategy. The better the comment, the better the results you'll get from it.

If you’re just going to use software to blast out tons of blog comments, don’t even bother.
Blog comment links, as you should already know, are no follow.
They’re not going to pass link juice from the pages that you post them on to your target pages.
Use blog comments the right way
Just because most blog comments are no follow, doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t comment—it all depends on how you do it.
If you’re sharing stuff that you know and you’re building credibility and authority, eventually, people will realize that you know what you’re talking about.
Bloggers would want to be your friend because you know information that they’re interested in.
Don’t be surprised if you get hit up with offers for guest blog posts.
That’s just the tip of the iceberg!
If you deliver high-quality content and you truly are an expert (or can at least look like one), they might even collaborate with you.
Maybe a YouTube video, or a social media campaign—the list of possibilities is endless!
And, it all begins with you commenting and sharing what you know.
That’s how you comment the right way.
But if you’re just going to drop links the right way and spam, good luck with that.
Because that’s just a numbers game and the resulting backlink footprint that you end up with isn’t all that good.
Especially if you try to “launder” all those links through web 2.0 pages that you’ve set up.
