I read a thread somewhere in this forum where the OP is asking whether trading can make you a million dollars. I read a lot of interesting and helpful answers. Hence, I would like to challenge myself to put this into action and earn my first million dollar by trading, in this case cryptocurrency trading. For this challenge, I will be using automation bot to trade for me (it's my own developed bot and for personal use only, the same bot I used in my first journey thread which is successful) because I suck a manual trading, few % of dip then fear eats my brain and does reckless trade decisions. Using bots, it will stick to rules without any hint of emotions involved.

Right now I have deposited around $4,500 to my trading account that's around 0.12 BTC at the moment (1 BTC = 38300 USD). This journey will end when $1,000,000 value has been reached.

I'll be posting updates every few days to update all of you. If you have any questions, I will try to answer them for you (except the details about the bot's algorithm and strategy for obvious reasons).

4.5K to 1M!? How much time is this going to take according to you? And are you trading on Binance?

Trading on BitMex, the expected timeframe really depends on several factors such as bot performance and BTC price itself. Probably within few years.

Good luck, keep updating the progress

Glad you did not say months or days.

Interesting journey.

Do you use algos and statistics for your bot, or you use chart patterns backtesting to let your bot trigger the entry and exit when a pattern appears?

May 30, 2021 Update:

BTC Balance: 0.1294
USD Value: $4,500

BTC holdings increased by about +7.8% in the past 2 days, but the USD value hasn't changed that much because BTC price dropped from 38300 to 34500 now.

hey mate where to buy a bot for trading any recommendations?

I have not used bots that are being sold or rented out there, can't recommend anything. Just be careful when using these bots.

Good mix of TA and price action

@Four Seasons Good luck with your journey! Have been following your previous journey for a while.

Can you "speed up" the bot to (1) trade at a higher volume, and (2) have more trade during the day?

Is there like a fee for every trade the bot take?

With 7% growth you only really need to compound 80 times to get from 4.5k to 1M.

Idk about the place he trades at or if same conventions even apply to trading crypto, but normally there is a fee for every buy and also for every sell. These fees can really eat a lot of your profits away. There is a "no-fee" trading option, but understand there is no free lunch and when you don't pay for fees for fast trade execution, your orders are passed to a third party to execute them for your broker and they will trade against you to make money off your trades. OP probably also pays a fee for access to live trade data that bot needs in order to make decisions. Considering this is bot trading, he might also be paying a fee for colocation hosting as close to the exchange as he can be, ideally in the same building.

Making money is costly. :D

Really interesting !! Good luck :)
I have 4 questions : Do you use Scalping method ? And where do you learn the strategy ? It's a mix of multiple strategies ?
And last questions : Do you use leverage on your transactions ?
