Is Telegram good for a YouTuber?

Hi,

I am a small YouTuber having 15k subs. My topic is digital marketing. I am confused how to go ahead with social media accounts specially with Telegram. I just created a Telegram group, where I added around 100 subs. Should I continue with that and provide them my tricks and tips or should I open a Channel at Telegram to promote my content there also.

I am totally confused, and I need help. Please help me solve my problem that how to start with Telegram for my channel? And will it be beneficial for me and for my brand?

A lot of YouTuber create their own Facebook groups that they dedicate to their niches (e.g. Make Money Online). Yet you're always in the mercy of Facebook closing your group for no f*cking reason. I think you're much safer with Telegram, although it's not usully the main channel people use. If it's working for you go ahead!

I'm in a similar position, but with a MUCH smaller channel around 3 months old and around 6-700 subs.

I mentioned in a fb group about starting a Telegram channel...

Some said yes and a couple said no as Discord was a better bet as Telegram can get pretty messy if there are lots of people talking.

My main needs are 1/ to be able to group message members 2/get my better stuff away from YT and FB as I've been shut down before and it SUCKED!!!

Would be great to hear some perspectives.

If you get your better stuff off of YT, won't it be harder to monetize? Or do you have a different strategy for monetization?

Yeah that's a very good point I've mulled over.

So the idea is to have good stuff on YT and FB where I will offer my paid training and then offer an incentivized "giveaway" channel on either Telegram/ Discord where I can also offer a level of personal implementation advice.

Hope that makes sense.

Oh, wasn't planning on monetizing the YT channel, but looks like it will be silly not to with their new TOS.

That makes a lot more sense. Our strategy is always to "meet your customers where they already are" so I think opening up and broadcasting your content across as many channels as possible is good. It's more work for you, but finding customers is always hard work :)
 
Some are blending it very well. I am part of a crypto telegram group who also makes videos on his tricks shared on telegram and he has more than 90% conversion on each video.
 
Most Youtubers I've seen go with Twitter and Discord. Probably easier to manage and you can offer patreon benefits through DISC
 
I don't see how telegram can benefit you for your Youtube career, Telegram is more of a black hat/ illegal market full of scammers.

i dont think telegram is what you want for this, you'd do much better with discord, and find new subs on discord as well

I have only 1.86 k subscribers. I got monetization at January 6th 2021. I am also facing some trouble. But I am getting the small number of subs for doing some seo. The correct seo for every video can give you huge subs and views for watchtime. You can do some work:

1) Make the authentic content.
2) use the subscriber button for calling the people to subscribe your channel.
3) Request by mouth speech within the video.
4) Request several social media also.

You can join with several telegram groups and you can request for subscribers.
My channel content is white hat seo .
