So this is my 9-5 vent first time this year. Been working for 4 months for a company.

1. I was talking. Not too much. Not too little. Just somewhere inbetween like someone who many would call an extrovert.
They told me it's too much talking, so I shut the f*** up. Now they say I'm an outcast.

2. They called me idiots, "not really brilliant" and all kind of names.

3. I wanted to start marketing campaigns for the company. They asked for it 10's of times.
They stopped me from doing that.
How?
I started talking to people online - one of the managers agreed to let me recruit juniors onboard.
The reason for doing that? I was the only one who had an idea who we really need.
They told me I'm a fool and should stop immediately or they "will throw me the fuck out with my whole setup".
So I stopped and we got someone who isn't into marketing at all.
Now this person consumes my time and asks me 10's of questions they should have an answer to before getting the job.

4. People working there are told they can be replaced with a few clicks on local sites like craiglists (since they are juniors). When I first came to the place I was told that.

5. There is absolutely no work-life balance. If you say you can work for 18 hours, you can turn yourself into a living wreck. You will be told that's an opportunity to learn new stuff.
In reality I found I can barely assimilate any new, useful knowledge after 4 hours of learning on the same topic. I don't know what the number is but most of the people don't learn more than 6 hours a day and there must a reason for that.

6. I was answered differently to the same question. It was a question like "did we get some sales due to our actions?". I've got two responses: one day - "no", another day - "yes".
Stats on accounts showed there were over 40 telephone enquiries on local websites.

7. I asked about leads from the past. Someone sitting to me showed me G stats from the past and there were high paying leads generated by google ads. They were rejected due to lack of competence of the company.

8. There are products that were started and were stopped due to a bad idea of how this type of business works. Zero investment in marketing or sales.

9. You can't work remotely if you agreed in the beginning.

10. The manager is looking over my shoulder which is too much for me. Along with calling me all kind of bad names.

Working there just because I was going through some life devastating stuff. And this company is devastating for my mentality - just like any daily pain.
Hopefully this will be my last month.

Have you spoken to HR and filed a complaint for workplace harassment?

However, I do agree with your decision to leave, it seems to be a very toxic workplace, a company like this should be closed down already.

This is 20 people company. The problem is that this company has no single department and is profiting from high risk investments popular on this forum right now.

New people are always working for free. Minimal wage = you are told you won a lottery ticket.

The trick is in the pudding. I went to the company without a portfolio while in this industry portfolio is a must.
So right now I would need to setup a portfolio and send it to 100's of companies. Which is a lot of effort and time.

Also getting good at English verbally in my case seems to be an impossible task. Any tip on how I could improve without paid consulting?
To make things clear. It comes with trouble to me to understand every second word in a song if I haven't read the song text. I can make it through a page of an american book but I will have to spend 10 minutes on googling the wording. I will sometimes misunderstand what someone is saying to me which can be terrible if I had to manage English clients at the job.

I've been going through similar scenarions couple times in my life. This is just an example. I learned to not make any decisions unless I am 100% sure that I'm able to actually make it without hurting myself.

There is something to be said for working for one's self. At the end of the day, you have to ask yourself if the cost to your lifestyle is worth the B.S.

I just found out I bought 2 domains in the past days. One for the portfolio. One for affiliate marketing. This brings me hope back I am still able to function as a normal human being.

Don't worry mate, things will always look better.
You seem to have a good and positive outlook which is a good thing.
Keep on pushing, there are decent companys out there that are worth working for.

P.S 20 man or 1000 man company, should always have a HR department, even if its a outsource one in my person opinion.
No one deserves to be harassed at work (or in general), whether its verbally, mentally or sexually.

I dont know how much you earn, but if its some 3rd world salary like $500 per month or somerhing, just make a website and a fiverr and an upwork and promote your stuff and youll make it and more, and on your own terms.

You seem to consider yourself a competent go-getter...

...so go get them :)

Unless youre full of shit. In which case sit down and shut up!

Go get them and do what? Try to keep them? That's not how it works.
The people behind this company are known to be unable to invest for anything long term.

I spoke to people from another company today and they didn't say a single swear word in 30 minutes of continuous conversation.

What? No.

Sorry, but im in the mindset of die on your own sword, and youre in the mindset of company.

Different planets. Good luck :)

I'll just post a few words of encouragement here to let you know that your English is great, albeit your thread is a bit of a rant (understandably) but still, I could barely tell you're ESL.

Keep it up.
Ending the post here because BOLD is stuck for some reason.

Alright. I have worked for a year and a month in total for someone's else pocket. And I can see how those companies are just cloning themselves. You can setup a company free of charges and tell a bunch of young, naive guys to work for you.

Thanks. The issue is with what I have highlighted above. Proper understanding of someone's else words is a little bit challenging.

Leave and find a new job or do something yourself.
Yourself worth should be more. It’s not all about money either.

I will go with a new job and doing something for myself.

So I have been fired yesterday cause I complained a lot. Yesterday was the first day that felt normal in the last 6 months. I was able to focus on a movie and chill before sleep.

When it comes to my income, I have another source of income which I will try to expand and turn it into a full fledged business. Ideally I should have 3 different sources. Right now I have two projects on my mind.

Meanwhile I will be looking for a new job in the web development field.
