I am happy with crypto. No matter it goes down, it's just a pair with USD.
My cryptos keep growing, I do activities such as Staking, Yield Farming, and some others for NFTs on WAX and more.
This gives me constantly more crypto, which is a good thing since it is forecast that stocks might get into crypto stocks and it will be easy to sell a token crypto stock for bitcoin. That will bring lots of money intot the crypto world. Right now its just half of the money inside just in Apple stocks.
Prepare for the new renaissance

I think you made the right decision. Especially if you got in crypto when all those reasons were opposites of what you wrote. Try with less emotion next time.
'investing ' in crypto is like investing in any commodity be it art, stocks & shares, wines or gems. You put them in a vault and some days the value and worth go up, others they drop. Sadly with crypto the gains and losses are so volatile that a lot of people jumped onboard without understanding the market and also there are so many opportunities to get scammed thanks to shills pumping then dumping garbage.
This.i have nothing riding in this for now but if i did the main thing is any of these recent completely ridiculous gains are 100% driven by FOMO.
Don't start telling me dodge,safemoon and the upcoming SafePonzi have any reason to be valued at what they are.
You can compare that to penny stocks and binary options really.
There may be s broader change coming but only truly once it is regulated and not the wild west scam fest, which is on the other hand how you can make a killing from pennies.
It's also still mainly a fad for noobs i mean still come on NFT lol like still can't get how da fuck virtual Art compares to true art on canvas.just knowing u have the original digital copy means nothing when it's all on a monitor, like in game currency for kids.
Once some true blockchain applications to mainstream and font just exist in parallel but actually solve a true issue and can replace the current solution, only them will things start to change to mainstream.
Until then you won't buy your house,car, insurance, etc with crypto from legit corporations.

I have another question that I admit, I didn't really explore to the full extent myself, because of time constraints. I can't figure out what is blockchain actually solving that other database technologies can't solve? I get that it is useful and it solves many things, but what can it solve uniquely or far better that nothing else can solve? So far I come up with nothing. I get that it is a new approach of solving existing problems, but why is it treated as superior to other DB implementations? Superiors being a big understatement, because it is actually treated like religion, literally, that's a massive turn off for me form the beginning.

Look at we work...it was always clear to me it was total bullshit, they did like what Regus started and yeah now they lost 2.2 billion haha.
Look at Nikola, they faked a video with a truck that they let roll downhill to pretend they had a working prototype. They were with billions more for not even having s true product, stick crashed back to what it was.
Theranos, they lied about having s blood test that only needed a drop of blood instead of one or two vials as it does now....well CEO is now most certainly going to prison
So the promise is what the only "real" value is for now.i am not aware of one application that fully replaces the old fashion way, so at best proof of concept.
Look at the stupid push by package portal. They want to change the industry from charging so much for signature confirmation for package delivery.... Sounds cool right?
But who charges for these signature confirmations? The carrier! So this is profit to them. Now ask yourself what incentive do they have to use this? Exactly 00000
Now, also ask you what can package portal do if the carriers do not take part, start their own carrier ? I mean they will just do what amazon did right...lol
There are theoretically interesting approaches that may be game changing, but so far none exists as a true replacement of anything that is out there in a traditional setup

In moments like these I just keep buying top coins without watching the news and shitty elon tweets.
When a bull run is over, you focus on your top coins (BTC, ETH, ADA) ignore the news and just wait till you notice HYPE after a few years and a friend of yours mentions out of no where he wants to invest in the next dog or cat coin. Then you start playing with other coins again on daily basis.
