How strict is Amazon when it comes to traffic source?

I created Amazon affiliate account, put my yt channel as website. Was wondering can I spam comments with my affiliate links, will I get ban?

Dont try to play cheap tricks with Amazon.

They are very strict about quality of traffic.

You will not get second chance after ban.

Not worth the risk unless you are after churn and burn and are certain you can activate new associate accounts.

I did it successfully with parasites for a couple of years, but as soon as they asked for my traffic sources it was game over (had moved on, but the residual income was nice).

p.s must be said that if you spam a site too heavily, you could get a complaint yourself or directly to your hosting provider. I spammed Soundcloud kinda hard about 2 years ago, and one day they sent me an email telling me to stop, or else. I stopped, mostly

I have some friends who have received an Amazon ban and they do not even understand why. In any case, you need to be very careful. Always read carefully the rules of working on Amazon, but no one is insured in this life. Anything can happen to you ...

So instead of spamming amzn links in others videos I should spam my ws links, I already thought of it, but it will kill conversions I think.

Are you saying if I’m lucky I could get away with it ? I just don’t want instant ban, if there is a small chance I will go for it

I did this from mid 2015 and got canned in early 2020.

Think they are really hot on closing accounts now as they simply don't need the traffic (and guess, correctly I think, that many links will still continue to generate traffic/ sales as former associates will just move on without taking down links).

Don't think I'd do anything to break their rules now as the rewards are quite low versus risk of getting caught.

Still a viable means of earning/ diversifying income if you apply the rules 100%, but it comes down to personal choice.

Amazon isn't the only game in town tho
