Google keeps "losing" our mobile pages

Here in the last few weeks google keeps losing hundreds of our mobile URLs. We go from page 1 to page 3 or 4 every time this happens. Anyone have any idea what's going on here?

The website has zero crawl errors, no host issues, 100% uptime, and no manual actions. Any input would be appreciated.

If that's the case, then it's dependant on users connection speeds/devices. Which explains fluctuations.

Yeah it's core web vitals. Our SEO drops like mad on the same days that google "loses" about 400 pages and when google "finds" them again our SEO jumps all the way back to where it used to be. No idea what is going on here.

I don't think google is "losing" them.

CWV is measuring how well your site performs for users.

If your users have slow connection speed and slow devices, you need to ramp up the performance of the site to hit green.

I'm having the same issue, my site is incredibly fast. However I am in a niche with non tech savvy users. Who most likely don't invest in speeds and devices, so it's hard to achieve it.

In terms of ranking drops/increases, that indicates they are measuring you against your competitors. So you need to increase the performance of the site to outperform your competitors.

Disclaimer: I've not read too much into CWV yet, but from what I can grasp, the above is a basic overview of the concept.

It's completely losing them. If the user experience was bad it will move 400 URLs from "good" to "needs improvement" or "bad". In this case, it's simply removing 400 URLs and not even giving them a score

You are right, are you checking to see if they are indexed?

All our pages are indexed as desktop has never lost any pages.

Desktop and mobile indexing are separate, you can have everything indexed for desktop version, but nothing indexed for mobile version.
