Hi All,

So I have been doing SEO professionally as a full time job for over 9 years. I have a lot of experience and have seen all the SEO tricks etc, there really isn't much I haven't seen in this niche. As I do this as a full time job and have worked on hundreds of client sites over the years I understand fully onpage and offpage seo.

I thought as part of being a SEO consultant I should setup a website myself to get rankings and hopefully make some money.

I had a domain name I was working on. I did the setup right, purchased a domain name for £1k as it was aged and had good backlinks, spent £6k on an ecommerce website and then began purchasing links.

I purchased crowdo links and also some PBN from sellers on this forum.

My domain got into a penalty about 2 weeks ago and it has dropped out of the top 100 for search terms.

Im pretty sure this is to do with the PBN as I found the PBN and its very spammy.

So I decided to do some analaysis and found my competitor links and then I spent a week doing outreach.

I found that on average a guest post is around $150 and I need about 350 referring domains to compete with the top 10.

SEO is not what it used to be so unless you want to get burned you need deep pockets before entering this game.

If you have any questions let me know and Ill try to answer everything

You pretty much nailed it. For serious stuff, you need a lot of money and there are no shortcuts. It takes 2-3 years to establish anything if you have lots of money. And 4-5 years if you don't have a big budget - but you might simply fail.

Yeh there's no way around it. I would consider myself and expert when it comes to SEO knowledge but in execution it hasn't worked. Most likely because of spammy PBN on this forum. If I did it again I would build my own PBN and get around 100 white hat links before trying anything black hat, it just isn't worth it in the long run. Ive lost a lot of money on this project.

One question would be: what's the future plan, given the info you have now? :)

For such an important site that youve spent money on... to buy PBN’s that are not entirely yours.... and 9 years SEO experience.
Not to put you down, but thats a costly mistake you should have know to avoid.

Also SEO doesnt require deep pockets if you have the time and patience. Money just speeds up the process.

Legit SEO is expensive as fuck.

Yes it is I knew this before starting but I don't have enough money for white hat SEO. I tried the blackhat method and have been burned.

If I had the money to do white hat I would have stuck to that but I don't and thats why I went down the PBN route. Im stupid I should have built my own PBN. I disagree it doesn't require deep pockets and I know outreach very well. Time and patience don't help if you don't have money for backlinks. You will find 90% of people ask for payment when you reach out to their website

fully agree with this. Been repeating this for months on this forum, but I am always being looked at as someone who hasn't got a clue about SEO just because my websites rank nowhere just because I can't afford SEO anymore.

We need alternatives to google (and to american mega corporations who have put monopoly on traffic) and we need it badly. Actually, we need the masses to be educated about why is bad to give google even more power. Personally, I have stopped using google as a search engine (using DDG for over an year), and I also stopped using twitter and facebook and switched over to Mastodon. It's not as popular as the others, but.. something needs to be done and I'm doing my part :)

I don't have any question to ask you simply because SEO is simple (good content + good backlinks rank you), the problem is that google has turned into a high payed whore and they only spread their legs for the filthy rich. That's all I had to say (that I agree with your statements)

That being said, i hope you get it sorted out. Spending time and money on a project to see it tank is never fun.

I will start again but this time I will save around £20k for backlinks before doing outreach. I have seen websites that have gone from 0 to a lot of traffic in 2 years but its white hat SEO which requires a lot of work and money.

Its simple in theory but execution is difficult, like I said I get paid a living to analyse websites and do outreach for them so I would consider my knowledge higher than 99% people on this forum and I still got burned.

but at the end of the day still good content + strong backlinks rank your websites. Sure, they need to have good speed and all that, but without good content + strong backlinks you won't rank shit. I've set up 4 autoblogs this month using software generated content and if any of these blogs starts ranking before January 2022 I will spam the shit out of google with more autoblogs each month. If none of them ranks this is the last year I'll do SEO

Sorry to piss on your fire but they won't work, your technique is old and has been spammed on this forum. You might get some traffic if you build links but just content on its own wont work

I don't care whether or not you piss on my fire (on the contrary, we can both piss on it if you want), nor do I care about the autoblogs either. They've been intended as throwaway websites since the get-go, so I don't care what happens to them :)

If they start ranking, however.... oh boy! See me WILLINGLY spamming for the 1st time in my life (and I'll enjoy it, too :D )

Tell me why to enter niche where you need 350 guest posts / $150 each to beat your competitor? It doesn't make any sense.

Its an ecommerce website I want to do it as a full time business, there is no way around it all the top competitors have authorative websites.
