I was really looking for solutions to curb my eye strain and I finally found a solution. This is not a promotion for any software. If you have a similar one, use that one.

The software is eyeblink from blinking matters.

I dont know if this will qualify as a helpful thread, but I am trying to help here.

Thanks for sharing. I thought you're going to recommend flux when I saw the thread name. I would highly recommend it since it is adjusting the screen brightness and other things (not an expert) according to the time of the day, sunset, etc.

Confusing, what's the point
I think the point is for the good of all. OP found something interesting and useful and he wants to this tip with the community.
And yes: As a person who works tons of hours in front of the PC, a short pause for your eyes is pure gold (and not sometimes, but everyday). Anyone should take care of his own health.

Yeah! Thanks.

Agreed

Non blinking for long hours can have adverse effects in the long term. Thanks OP for sharing this.

I also recommend Flux. However, nothing is comparable to wearing blue filter glasses.

I like the concept

It blasts 200 watts of light power right into your face, forcing you to blink every 10 seconds.

Makes productivity great.

True that, but I am already wearing glasses that have some kind of protection, forgot what it's called so I am happy with just using flux. AND don't forget to make sure that the lighting in the room is sufficient, and don't act like a hacker sitting in a dark room. :D
