Why my Google Disavow tool is not working?

I don't know what is happening but I can't disavow trashy backlinks. This error is coming up. Any solution?

You have to select URL with http or https. It doesn't accept domain property.

The disavow tool indeed only works for url-prefix properties, bot for domain properties.
To get it to work for your site you might need to add an additional url-prefix property

just a friendly advice, unless you get a penalty in GSC, you should not be using the disavow tool. Your ranking will most likely go down.

Yeah, but I think some competitor is building trashy backlinks on us. We almost lost 1k organic keywords this week.

why do you think it is related to your ranking?

Primary keywords didn't change but Ahrefs reporting -1K keywords and some articles lost their keywords with a little drop in SERP 1-3 keywords. I noticed some domains like your-mother-will-die-in-her-sleep-unless-you-link-to-this-site.com and more appearing on my backlinks out of nowhere last week.

i still do not think your issue is the backlinks. for the pages that got dropped in ranking, see what changes the pages above you made.

lastly, why are you looking what ahref says..... see how your traffic is in google tools.
