Hey guys, i've got some success doing cold emailing. However i'm afraid to get huge fines because of doing this. Tell me is it really risky to do cold email? Or is it legal and im worried too much? Please help me!

So buying a bunch of targeted emails would be pointless if I intend to use it for my POD site that is here for the long run?

"Do not worry too much" just do it and insert an unsubscribe link , that's it really

Depends on the country. In the USA Spam is legal as long as you don't commit fraud by using false or misleading headers. Other than that, spam away.

Oh and have a way to opt out, then remove them from your list within 10 days

I would use it to sell POD products ans show weekly deals.

Do not use your real name , use fake address/name if you are using autoresponders , no real IP and you should be fine , trust me it will only get serious if its a billion dollar market and you are cashing out hard ...

Not illegal in US as long as follow the law and have unsubscribe link, company address, and couple other things in the email. Just look up the law about it. If you’re going to mass email though, you should do so for a secondary domain so you don’t ruin your email reputation and deliverability rate.

No matter you do opt out or other policies Cold mailing is illegal. That is the reason many mailing service provider wants to know what your mailing and about your list. There are very few services who allow cold mailing via proxy nodes but here there are types again. High level complaints from netcraft or logistics are treated high where they ask customer details ETC.,

But nothing to worry many do cold mailing , SPAM, just dont leave footprints :)

Good luck.

You should post what country you are talking about... I see your website is texasjobs, in Texas spam is not illegal... Most mailing services prohibit spam, that is true but it's not because it's illegal. It's because they don't want to deal with spam complaints or the wrath of Anti-Spam vigilantes.

What i said is for world big companies should follow mailing rules no matter its EU or south africa. Unless you own SMTP machine you create your own rules. TexasJobs is my customer website he gathers resumes and emails newsletters to customers who signup even that is considered as cold mailing unless customers report but they wont .. If we start discussing this will never ends on cold mailing topic :D
