Getting notifications from a couple of months ago

I'm not sure why, but...

I'm getting notifications every day, for example, in the last 20/30 minutes I got like 10 different and maybe 1 or 2 are from today.

Example:

There is more, this is just so @Diamond Damien @BassTrackerBoats and others can see this.

The weirdest one was from @Mr Positive yesterday from Lounge, I am not "watching" Lounge btw

It's not a big deal, I have no problem getting this...

I just want to post it and see, maybe there is some problem or something like that.

Btw, this has never happened before, it just started a few days ago.

@Motolino I am not getting email notifications, it's happening here on BHW.

Not sure if I am the only one, it's just weird that I'm getting notification, once again here on BHW from a month-old thread.

Thread created 11. 03. 2021

I got a notification a few minutes ago.

It also happened with a few from Lounge and I am not even watching/following.

Once again, I have no problem receiving them... I am just reporting if I am the only one with this "problem", all good.

Second that. I am also receiving notifications, and I am not even subscribed to the BHW lounge area.

It's happening again, it's not a big deal and I have no problem receiving notifications, just reporting as usual.

Basically, it was all good from my last report back in mid-May and now in the last 2, 3 days it's happening again.

Example:

Someone created a thread yesterday at 5:50 PM and I received that notification 10 minutes ago.

This is not always the case, in 99% everything is just fine, but there are few that I get here and there, late ones or, receiving notifications from subforums I don't even follow.

Basically:

Someone create a thread in WTB/HAF 5 days ago.

I get that notification 5 days later [today].

As I said, I have no problem getting notifications, I do follow few subforums and I want to receive them, I'm just reporting in case something is wrong or, whatever the case might be "behind the BHW", and as @Festinger said:

My 2 cents:

I think something is going on with notifications [sometimes], but, it's not a big deal.

I'm not the only one and I'm sure there are more people just no one is paying attention since it's not a big deal, at least for me.

I found the issue.

All right, so whenever a moderator moves a thread to a subforum you're watching, the forum sends an alert out regardless of when the thread was created. It's because, as far as that system is concerned, the thread was 'just started' in that section.

As an example, this thread here: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/n...s-that-may-can-get-potential-traffic.1321882/

That thread was moved to the Want To Buy section on May 18th, so the forum sent out an alert to you since you watch that subforum.

In regards to the thread by @Mr Positive, that thread was accidentally moved to the Jr. VIP Lounge, a subforum which you're watching. I moved the thread back to the lounge, but you got the alert for it, anyway.

I hope that clarifies things for you.
