You know what feels bad? When you lose a lot of income. I had gone through that in the Google Penguin times back in 2012 badly, as well as a bit in the Google Panda times in 2011. Ouch, it hurts!

Makes sense to diversify your eggs across the baskets. I personally diversify over online niches and sales/marketing types, and that has definitely helped a lot in the past. The trick is to keep the fine balance - you cannot have one basket but you cannot have too many baskets either unless those baskets cross a critical mass/threshold in some legitimate way (when they do, you become Google Microsoft Amazon IBM etc.).

Only way i see myself getting 10,000 a month is if some rich person would donate them to me. I don't believe in myself so i can't see myself getting any amount similar to that... But if it happened i'd probably just save them and think of ways to double that.
