I get the impression from the constant bombardment of updates and throttles and the aftermath of comments about it that most sites are getting pummeled since last year. It seems everyone is pushing content like crazy, making links like crazy and its all ignored and shoved into a hole, nothing is getting indexed, no indexed KW's, very slight DR movements, and no organic traffic, actions, or sales..

Maybe the only people complaining are the ones getting crushed..the few making a bucks don't say a word...

Curious peoples response

Have been doing alright for the past 6 months. Haven't really mentioned it because, as you say, no reason to complain when it is going well.

Everyone has the same problems, threads like this have been going on for over a year, same exact problems have been discussed.

You have those that will do absolutely nothing and you have people that will try and do something about it.

Google is getting smarter, that's all.

My 2 cents:

People hate all this because they do not want to work, they do not want to push it hard, they are simply used to spamming, black hat crappy methods, it's not that they don't know what to do, they simply refuse to put some work, simple as that!

It's not that hard, it's like it always should have been, those with good killer content and everything else will get the cookie.
Those that live in 2010, I'm sorry... Wake up!

My websites are all on autopilot. But getting crushed by Google mob.

I am not sure about that..im not talking about my own sites/businesses in any of this but it seems people are working incredibly hard...busting their butt and they arent really moving at all...the established massive sites are taking more of the landscape...and the purpose of all these smart updates is to help with that taking of land

FYI this article indexed 10 hours ago in SERPS, I know sites still waiting for their best Turkey recipes to index from Thanksgiving

Curious your pulling in that much OT with that few OK, normally at best its a 1:1 ratio your at a 10:1 ratio never seen that before and im talking analysis against 1000 sites lol

and the annoying part - weekly micro updates
when you think it starts improving - after 1 week it drops again

not having any issues indexing, stuff indexing almost instantly. I think you need to consider the fact that something you are doing be it onsite or offsite is causing you issues with google.

Well not me, but from what I see it's all your links...which is why skeleton posts like this ranked in the first 10 mins with 3 lines of text..

Because that's the point of the updates keeping small sites below the collective, i don't see Etsy effected by any of this
