Bots always eating my budget on Native and Push, please help.

Hi everyone,


How do you deal with bots from ad networks? Most of the clicks are bots! I have first tried Mgid, that was terrible experience, and then now moved to propellerads, and I have the impression it is the same.

How do you guy avoid bots?

I use Bemob to track my campaigns.

I guess it is petter to go for CPL offers such as SOI to be able to filter the bots, right?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yea even taboola traffic I'm using seems to have a lot of bot traffic. I dont know a fix for it too I'm looking for a fix

Burn your money to filter the bad perform widget id and blacklist it

use your click tracker to identify those IPs and also the siteIDs, then block those ones and also have a chat with your AM in those networks to get a refund. All the traffic networks will try to scam you with fraudulent traffic ...

I would say 90% of Taboola's traffic is really low quality, sensational and arbitrage sites, be carefull and start building a white list asap.

Exactly, my recommendation is to request for refund on those sites.

You will not be able to avoid bot traffic.

You can minimise it by filtering as others have mentioned, but you should also consider increasing your roi.

I do that in a couple of ways, I collect details so I can re-market for effectively free and / or use multiple on page options for income.

Everything else except google, facebook, snapchat etc ( big reputable sources ) are using some percent of bot traffic

Depends what you do with that traffic but most of time you are throwing money and wasting time.

ask for a whitelist or build your own via click tracker.
look at the data at the publisher/placement level and pick the highest CTR pubs.

Check HotJar/SmartLook for user interaction and then base your whitelist/black list on your findings. Also, make use of some tracker and ad networks that can filter out known bot traffic.

If you are hosting LP-s on your own server you can use advanced GeoIP filtering tools or make your own. In similar way you can filter out bots and entire IP ranges like AWS, DO, Azure, etc. that are used for such traffic.

If bots are coming from residential IPs then you have to tailor your own solution or combo from ones above.
