Hi there. Let me explain the problem I've got recently.
I have a website and I tried to add 2checkout payment gateway option to it. They denied my application (maybe because I'm not a company owner Idk).
Stripe is not the option as well for now.
What if I add another payment gateway (non-popular in America and Europe) - will customers use it or they will be afraid to?
Your thoughts about unknown payment gateways - do you pay via them?

Best honestly is to setup some type of business. You will need a tax number for about anything. Would use something customers are used to for sure, conversions are hard enough already.

Either settle with paypal or you will need a company to process debit and credits. It doesn't matter who the provider is, its visa and master rules

If you can give your customers the option of Paypal. But as we all know CC/DC is a must. Try to add a crypto option if it works with your use case.

You have mentioned 2checkout and Stripe, both these needs a business establishment. If you are an individual, PayPal would be your best bet in terms of customer's trust.

It seams to me they denied due to high risk score of your site + zero turnover . You must try another one . There are a lot of. Search "payment service provider on Google. Or find on about payments site

Sorry to post in this old thread but I can't PM. Would this be possible for someone who lives in AUS to register a US company and work with a payment agent company in US? What would be the best way to do this from AUS. I have been trying to work this out for too long and the roadblock is always the fact that I am in AUS.

I as an end-user could definitely stay away from a random xyz third party payment gateway if I am aware about it. So if I click the buy button on your site and my browser gets redirected to xyz.randomgateway.com , I may not really trust it.

This is why most websites will either process credit/debit card payments server side (you enter payment details on their site and not somone else's) or they use a trusted client side payment gateway like PayPal or stripe, names most end users who don't live under a rock are familiar with.

you can use Greenbyphone this is which i was personally using for echeque or cc checkout

Customers will only sees the fields to enter their CC details, even if the PP doesn't support in-page checkout, i doubt this would be a problem, unless your customers are tech savvy : digital marketers for example who are aware of PP and will tend to trust only reputable ones.

I have been paying via different gateways as customer. Never had prejudices or problems.
