I would feel better buying $SHIB than Safemoon right now, and I own about $150 bucks (buy-in) of each
The whole Pancake Swap and its fees are killing SM adoption right now, while $SHIB is constantly expanding their reach.

KuCoin fees for $SHIB are like .1% of total transaction ($.01 for every $10 SHIB purchased)

I first tried to purchase $SHIB on Uniswap actually (not pancake) and the GAS fee for the transaction was $120 for $100 worth of $SHIB. Ridiculous.
Then I was able to purchase on Huobi for pennies on the dollar in fees.

I paid a lot in GAS for Safemoon (on Pancake Swap) also

Plus, there are a lot of extra steps involved for the experienced crypto investor/trader to take to get Safemoon from Pancake Swap, vs $SHIB from a more 'standard' exchange. I am glad to see SM getting picked up by some places.

In regards to Binance, I am not sure...
There was a video where CZ said he would have no problem listing Safemoon, and the 'people choose the coins', but that video along with the entire channel has been deleted.

I had invested $20 just for Fun in Shib, Dent, & CRO. Shib is already 20x. And what a timing I tried to sell today as fees were low for sometime & the transaction failed. Closed my wallet opened BHW and I see posts that Binance is about to list it. Now I am holding it till End of the year.

I also find this interesting lol. No matter how inexpensive it may be, thousandths of a cent, if its had a big upward move people say 'dont buy' lol. Very interesting mentality indeed.
