That's the thing though. Do people really expect regulators, governments and central banks to not take any action on this trend? A lot of ignorant people will be losing money on these useless tokens.
A lot of people are losing money in casino's, a lot of people lose money betting on games.

Agreed, there's dumb people everywhere. The difference is with the inflated prices, typically controlled by a few people as you see in DOGE. Inflated tokens being converted to FIAT currency is a whole other problem. Let's face it, that's what you do when you "cash" out right? These tokens holds no real life use.
Bitcoin as a currency is trash too. The underlying technology is interesting though, and the perception of "value". But personally, I don't believe for a second that central banks, and governments are just going to say... "Well boys, that's it, let's go sell icecream instead.". Without central banks controlling supply there will be anarchy, and crazy inflation. Not to say, they hold the power and control. The most likely scenario is that central banks will implement these technologies in their own way, so it's still centralized, like China have done.
As a financial instrument to pay for goods and services, most cryptocurrencies still don't match banks. There are many low-cost options available such as Transferwise for overseas payments. (With the exception of XRP, and possibly ADA)

Just withdraw 1/4 of your profits as it goes up and rebuy with that when it goes down or just keep your profits in a stablecoin staked to generate you more crypto
