You can make calls for free in USA and Canada without any software. Simply visit https://voice.google.com, login using the account credentials you received and use the web panel to send and receive calls.

Yes, you can verify almost any Paypal US account with Google Voice numbers. There are some rare exceptions, where the number will not be accepted by Paypal. In that case, we will provide a free one-time Paypal SMS verification using one of our private USA numbers.
Yes, Google Voice numbers are working with Facebook. Make sure to request a phone call though, as you will not be able to receive the SMS code.
