Fan page is about 9 years old. Got 85k likes mostly from tier 1 countries. But has been dormant for about 5 years.

Is it possible to revive it? Or not worth it?

I think after 6 months of deleting the page
You cannot request to return it again because it has been permanently deleted from the private servers

if you have the time to revive it do it, is there any
activity on the fan page currently
I do have the time, yes.

There has been no activity for 5 years.

Is there anything specific I need to do, or just start posting again?

I think that it’s not worthy. Only a very small part of the likes are going to see your posts. And FB can always ban it for literally no valid reason.

You can just start posting again. You don't need to do anything. If I where you though I would update all the info, make sure it is in the right category, make sure any links still work. Delete some old posts if they are not relevant. Make several posts. schedule them to go out one day after the other. Give it a week of posts and you should see some activity, not a lot but you will have breathed life into it again. When people come to a page they will see the date of the posts as recent and that will help. You could also pin a new post to the top. You could even invite the members to get in touch with you with questions or requests.

What niche is the page in?

I would love to know how you progress with it. I have over 200 pages in the exact same situation, some older than yours, some with more fans. All are just sitting there right now. If you find a way that works well please feel free to PM me, I would love to hear of any success you had.

Yeah I was going to give the page a complete cleanup. And rebranding.

It's just a funny pics page, but with the niche I'm moving to I think it'll be relevant for up to about 40-50% of the current users. Even if it's just 20% I think it could be worth it.

What I am doing is FB video monetization. And using retargeting, you can get video views for as little as 0.001, so for $85 I can re-engage the entire follower list and just see what fall outs. I'm thinking this could be a way cheaper option than running a fresh page and running ads for likes.

I'll send you a PM and keep you up to date with what I'm doing.
