So to summarise, we have an online site.

Where you can enter; game of chance (skills based) draws for free by posting in your answer to a set address. Or you can pay online and enter for a small entry fee.

We use a card gateway and a year ago we used PayPal as well but PayPal sent us a warning and blocked account saying it was permanently closed.

We accepted this but a big company has now been “approved” by PayPal and PayPal say they are fine to use them, so I want to know how and if we can get around this? Any guidance?

If it's not a stealth paypal i would directly call them and explain the situation.

Did you use all the same information when trying to open this account?

Hi Andy, what do you mean by same information? We had to add all information regarding the directors, passport ids etc to get the account approved and then it worked for a few months and then this.

So it did work for a few months. Obviously it must be something wrong with the way you are doing business.
If they keep shutting down your account PayPal is not an option for you.

Simply buy a stealth account, ask your customers to pay you directly, and withdraw via a currency exchange.
