Just want to give a quick update: don't feel happy/sad with the current SERP results yet. It is STILL fluctuating, despite Google said the update has been fully rolled out.
I'm still seeing very drastic position changes - mine and my competitors.
Like last night, my competitor is ranking top 5 while I'm below them. Did a rank check refresh 8 hours later, and I'm above my competitor. So I did another quick refresh, and what do you know... My site and my competitor's site has disappeared entirely. Now refresh again and we're back to the same position like last night's. Another competitor of mine benefited from the update last week - ranking first for nearly everything but his/her website disappeared as of today.
Some of my pages that were hit on the day of the update's release have returned today.
For other words, we have to wait a week or so for the REAL results to come in. I say let's wait till next month - 1st May - to conclude everything.

I got a weekly report email today where i had some pretty great gains, canned the site last night as hosting was due and volume for the niche just wasn't there. All well on to better things lol.
