I Got Scammed

BHW is a family, they are among the first website I visit after my morning prayers.
But yesternight I lost some hard-earned funds to scammers. 85% of my savings gone just because I trusted someone.

This all started with a post on FB by somebody I physically have high regards and trust, he was advertising a program which he even went as far as showing proof of payment.

I chat him up to ascertain whether am safe with this investment, he assured me that it's legitimate and secured.
While I was chatting we these scammers every of their move I already know but my determination to trust the man who referred me to those scammers was intense and I didn't allow myself the opportunity to say no.

I have all my savings in crypto, I choose to pay in crypto but the scammers are novice, this could have been more than worse.
They asked me to convert to local currency and send, which I later yield to.

They demand more money, this time my eyes are red although the deed is done. I refused and complain to my trusted referral he blocked me.
I want to move on him physically but am now having a second thought what if his account was hijacked or hack to pull this devastating scam on me.

Am deeply saddened by this, please don't fall for any scheme that requires a commitment of funds even if it's approved by your best friend.

Am just feeling like I won't be able to trust anybody anymore.

I feel you... It sucks, it's painful but it is a lesson, and life is full of hard lessons to learn from, just those who continue and are strong enough to learn from those mistakes will succeed!

I lost 6 digits 5, 6 years ago in a split of a second, so, yeah, I do feel you.
I just got a daughter and it was basically, I died but I didn't know that I died!

Yes, I seek a refund but they didn't respond. I called the scammers bank but the recipient told me to call my own bank from where I issued the payment and that they maybe able to assist me.
I called my bank, they said I should obtain a police report and court order so that they might get the funds back.
The problem with their request of police report and court order here in my country is that it's not easy as it sounds, you will pay if not more than what you are scammed to get this requirements and to get them to do the work effectively.

Sadly people get caught up and scammed, because those doing the scamming don't care about the knock on it has to the victims.

If I had a dollar for every time I was scammed when I was starting out....well, I'd have just a little under $10. But, the fact is (as others have stated), this is unfortunately part of the process. Today, many years later, I work with several trusted providers and as anyone new comes into the fold, I vet them pretty thoroughly...especially if their service is what I deem to be expensive. It's important to not let yourself get pressured into purchasing ANYTHING until you are able to do your own due diligence. Check references, check this board and search it for advice about the particular method or service, etc. And, when you encounter a scam such as this, post about it. You did - but I'd call them out specifically as well. Tell other BHW members (and future members) exactly who scammed you and how. Then, let the scammer know that you've called them out. Put them on the Shitlist. Often, this board carries enough weight that they will suddenly start responding to you in hopes that you'll remove your complaint and perhaps you can resolve the issue. Call me ruthless, but if you check my post history you'll see that I have no chill when it comes to a seller offering some bullshit.

The bottom line is, I have found that MOST sellers are not scammers. Some, however, are in way over their heads. Sometimes it's something as simple as a miscommunication due to a language barrier - other times, they've elected to offer a service that they don't fully understand themselves.

Don't beat yourself up over it - but, also don't take any shit. IM is a competitive game and most people dive in too quickly and fail. Find your niche, do your research and know it top to bottom. Know exactly what you need from a seller. Know how it's supposed to be processed. Make yourself so well informed that the only reason you're farming it out at all is because you want to save yourself the time. And DO NOT fall for any get rich quick nonsense. There's a reason those old Warrior Forum tutorials are laughed at among veterans. Most of them are ridiculous and a waste of time. A huge cash windfall is extremely rare in this (or any other ) business. Don't fall for it.

I got scammed too here the first time I ordered a website design... @IMTycoon who is now banned abused me and I lost 150 dollars with him, I asked someone else and the job was not done properly too... to this day, I learned DTA (don't trust anyone) when it comes to business and money. As nice and friendly as I seem here, these scams killed my hopes when I had nothing else to survive.

The best thing you can do is say who scammed you here. When people will search him on google, this thread will show up because BHW has a high authority.. don't hesitate to tell the name or the group here buddy

And keep moving forward, don't let this kill your dreams of doing what you want to do.
