NEW EASY TO START BUSINESS IDEA (Using AI)

Hi BHW.

I've been thinking about a new business idea that incorporates Artificial Intelligence, let me explain:

The idea is really simple, it consists in offering a service of old photo quality improving, restauration and colorization to elderly people, and people who are not internet experts.
I would offer two alternatives; either getting the photo in a digital format, or getting it physically for a higher price --> Shipping costs are almost nothing for photos, and I know a photography store that could print them for a small price.

The photo editing can be done easily with apps like Remini or webs like MyHeritage, that offer the AI editing software for free. I would add value by editing the imperfections of the AI and improving the photos with Photoshop, I can do this by myself.

The traffic would come via Facebook Ads, and as I said before, I would target elderly people and people who are not knowledgeable of this kind of photo editing AI. This is where my doubts arise, I don't know if it would be profitable to run Ads since the profit per photo isn't that big. Maybe I would need to add more creativity to my product in order to rise the perceived value and the price.

What do you think about it? Is it worth the try?

Why not start as a local restoration shop to see if the idea is good enough?
You could try with people close to you, neighbors, etc, take in mind that people usually doesn't have one old photo but a ton of them.

I thought about scanning (ideal) or taking a photo, but yeah, if they are old people maybe they have some struggles uploading the photos with a decent quality. I would post tutorials on how to scan and take photos.

Hahaha maybe, but not many people are willing to risk money and time by creating a real business, paying all the marketing costs, building a website, adding value to the product... Look at the saturation of dropshipping, and creative people are still making money out of it. Plus, the world is big.

Great idea, didn't think of that one. I could restore whole albums of old photos, and the quality would be much higher since I could scan the physical photos by myself. The work load would also be higher, but it could be a good way to start.

While i think the idea is good..i'm sorry to tell you but old people won't like it if they can't handle technologie, i kow a lot of people who are irritated just by answering a whatsapp call..and most dont want a smartphone because it's too irritating. Those who do tiktok etc. already use such applications as remeny? Remini? But that app for example is completely in korean, so you could make one in english or even in your language, it doesn't even need to be for old PEOPLE, it can be for everyone!! But as simple as one click, so they have not to work, give them 3 pics for free a day with ads and a 1.99$ pro version and will work like wildfire.
But doing this costs time, energy and maybe someone who can work with you together, you will need to have knowledge on how to rank in appstores etc.
