Has anyone tried the lock stock method?

For anyone who knows the movie lock stock and two smoking barrels, one of the guys mentions a way to make some money.

I can’t remember it exactly and someone might be able to correct me but it goes something like this.

You post an ad for the best arse tickling anal dildo and how amazing it is. Ask them to post a cheque to Company Name.

After a week or 2 you reply to them saying sorry the suppliers let us down, here is a refund.

But you refund them with a cheque from your other company name - Arse Tickling Anal Dildo Company.

Then you wait and see how many people want to go and pay a cheque into the bank from the Arse Tickling Anal Dildo Company and apparently there won’t be many.

Has anyone ever tried it? Will it really work?

It’s a theoretical question posted in the lounge. The movie is about 20 years old, if i had wanted to do it, I would have by now.

People are almost immune to embarrassment now, or at least embarrassment has shifted. Porn etc? Blow money at a strip club? Just call the bank and say it wasnt you. Easy money back.
Someone finds out you dress up as a girl in your spare time and youre a hero now as oppossed to being shamed in the past.

Social causes and social shaming though over politics is the new area of embarrassment and shame.

look at the BLM woman who spentthe money on houses and such and gave nothing back to the cause, total scam. Yet people STILL will not talk bad about it for fear of being branded a racist.Or lets assume trump did something good(lets not get political, but to show politics is the new social dilemma/shame), lets say he saved babies from a burning building lol. Democrats and media would STILL not cknowlegde it or write it off somehow. Alternatively, if Obama somehow made world peace, the right would STILL lash out at him for being an "immigrant from kenya communist"

people are polarized and shaming comes with it, no reason to not look at it and see what you can capitalize on.

I live in the U.K, not really clued up on the BLM money stuff you mentioned but yes some people are afraid to speak out.
